  1. INSULTED? Hell, this all started b/c I asked one question ("Where is the Birmingham make-up date?") and was berated by two smarmy folks for simply asking it ... Gimme a fucking break and cry me a fucking river. I'm only fighting back.
  2. they found out you'd be there, so they cancelled it. I hope you're happy. You single handedly screwed up a concert. :) I hope so ... At least it means they read their own official fan site. What effect will 10,000 pissed off B'ham fans have on a multimillion dollar machine? About all we can do is post a few bitchy messages on an Internet forum that the band will never read. Honestly, that's about all the recourse we have outside of spending our money elsewhere (which is what I plan to do) and support bands who actually show up and keep their word. We'll stay pissed off ... move on to bands that actually care about their fans and keep their "promises" ... and Coldplay will continue to pump out music and have millions of fans who GOT their concert and have nothing but fond memories. These same fans will berate me for not "understanding" and by telling me that they're quite sure the bands cares about fans in Birmingham. Keep in mind, these people didn't have to cancel three-month long plans, eat hotel reservations, turn the car around, and get an empty promise from the band on the official "fan" website. I'm sure Coldplay will not lose a moments sleep over a date in Alabama. Screw 'em ...
  3. Check again .... It's posted on two or three of Will's messages. Evidently, they've decided to fuck Birmingham fans. I'm done with these lying, cancelling, English faggots anyway. Hey Coldplay! Thanks for rescheduling! ... assholes ...
  4. Holy hell ... you have set yourself up for complete and total OWNAGE ... Read Coldplay's MAIN SITE (http://www.coldplay.com). News item DATED 9.16.2005. I'll quote it for you to save you the trouble .... This was the "Message from Will". Now, to go along with your non-helping tag, you're stupid as well. "To all our fans in the Birmingham, AL and Tampa, FL areas. It is with great regret that we have had to cancel our shows in your towns this week. Chris is suffering from some issues with his throat and it was felt by his doctor that if he didn't give his voice a rest he might not be able to sing for the rest of the US dates. Please be assured that we are planmning on returning to the US in the spring of 2006 and when we do we will definitely reschedule both of these shows. Lastly, I and the band apologize for any inconveniece we may have caused due to the cancellation of these shows. Love, Coldplay" PWN3D! They did promise a make-up date moron ...
  5. If I'm wrong, correct me ... but isn't this the place that leaked the FULL TOUR LIST before anyone else?!? Sheesh ... Chill. I posted at BOTH sites FYI. Just because we posted the hacked list doesn't mean we know why though does it? How about this? Kiss my ass you non-helping tool. I asked a question ... I didn't ask to be berated.
  6. Wow ... HILARIOUS.
  7. If I'm wrong, correct me ... but isn't this the place that leaked the FULL TOUR LIST before anyone else?!? Sheesh ... Chill. I posted at BOTH sites FYI.
  8. .... aaaaaand no Birmingham reschedule date ... GREAT!
  9. Ummmm ... they probably WON'T come back. I wouldn't hold my breath.
  10. Glad he JOKED about cancelling the show I was supposed to attend.
  11.   Wow ... Some rant.
  12. Weeee! Gald you didn't get screwed like we did! Weeeeeee! Coldplay!!!!! See you in 2006 .... Not.
  13. FUCK YOU SOUP ... If Chris' voice were in danger, they'd lay off a hell of a lot more than TWO FUCKING SHOWS. If you believe their excuse, common sense must run low in the hills of Virginia. Seems to me the boys wanted a break, screwed a couple of small venues (10,000+ seasts), and enjoyed a week off. Voice damage my fucking ass ... Two nights off and he's miraculously cured? Hardly.
  14. I <heart> Bea Arthur ... But I'm still disappointed.
  15. We do know what will happen though ... Tampa and Birmingham are CANCELLED and will supposedly be rescheduled in Spring 2006. In the new few weeks, they will be in England and won't be thinking about coming to the states for months.
  16. Here's the prblem I have with it ... If he was told not to sing or risk severe damage to his chords, 4 days rest ain't gonna cut it. They would be cancelling a couple of weeks worth of shows, not TWO. It sounds horrible to say, but I have serious doubts as to whether there's THAT much damage to Martin's vocal chords. If that were the case, they'd be taking a much longer break IMO. Anyway, I'm sick of the whole thing and seriously wonder if I'll go if/when they do come back. I'm still a fan of their music and there's no doubt the boys are very talented. But I'd be lying if I didn't say I think we are getting a screw job on this deal. I'm done. The rest of you enjoy talking about what a great show you saw / will see ... Us folks in Tamps and B'ham will continue to stew. Thanks for listening.
  17. How about reading the post where it CONFIRMS cancellation of the B'ham show? And Will can say what he wants, next Spring doesn't mean I can make it then. Will's post also said the Tampa show was CANCELLED and would come next Spring as well. So much for the band giving a crap about the fans. Screw 'em.
  18. Spring '06 ... Woo Hoo ... I love all the positivity coming from folks who actually saw / will see the band! Easy to stay positive when you don't have to wait another 6-8 freakin' months.
  19. They have officially cancelled now according to the official site. THANKS FOR F'ING OVER BIRMINGHAM GUYS! Good luck with the rest of the tour. Here's what separates Coldplay from U2 and The Stones. Neither of those bands would've screwed fans over by not rescheduling. Make trade fair my butt ... How about treating the fans fair first?!?
  20. I just think ticket holders for these two shows feel like they're being lead on ... Why would the venue say REFUNDS ARE COMING and the band say WE'RE TRYING TO RESCHEDULE? I feel like we're just being played for fools. I'd rather the band say, "Sorry, we can't reschedule", rather than make us think shows in two mid-markets - Tampa and Birmingham - are going to actually be rescheduled. And the official site seems a day late with news that folks have found out from other sources.
  21. If they do come back, just make sure we get tickets to Madison Square Garden so the band will make the show! ;) The official site is just being a tease. Leading fans on making them think the date will actually be made up is worse than just telling us what we already know - there won't be a make-up date.
  22. Seems slightly "odd", doesn't it ... The two buffer shows inbetween the bigger ones somehow get "postponed".
  23. Seems to be a pattern when Colplay gets South of the Mason-Dixon line.
