  1. the private ownership of these companies (rather than being owned by local governments) - makes it much more difficult to handle regulating them

  5. he is just quite perfect in my opinion. :)
  6. yeah, but when you first get pregnant, you can lose a lot of weight from morning sickness. i lost 10 pounds in the first 3 months and was sort of an unattractive green color. pregnancy is so individual. one thing about this story/rumor is that we will definitely know the truth sooner or later :) .
  7. did you think you were in trouble or something?? i just thought i would put you here too so we can talk off subject and not piss everybody off :) . and yeah, i do have a dilemma - just tell me, if it was you - what would you want your parents to do?

  14. i know - i totally can see him acting like "what's the big deal? we are going to do it this way... "
  15. thanks sam!!
  16. yes, you are wonderful eric. i really appreciate your time and input. i am just going to talk to him and take it from there. i will keep you posted on what is going on for sure.
  17. that's ok. i guess i am just coming at this from a very maternal perspective (naturally). i am so close to my family and especially my mom. i can't imagine not having her constantly when i was little. i just come from a very close, very huggy family, so it makes this concept seem very foreign to me. and i do expose him to so many things - we have travelled all over, visiting museums, i play all kinds of music for him, we have tons of books and read everyday... so i feel like i am doing a good job. but i am not musical, at all. so i have to depend on others to help develop that talent even more. it is a strange thing to see a kid this little do something so amazing. i got a piano because i had a huge living room that needed furniture - who knew?
  18. i know - i am going to get myself together and probably talk to him about it on friday. i think i will just try to take cues from him on what i should do next. it is a fine line between doing what is best for your child and messing them up for life. not easy.
  19. sam, i can take time off from work pretty much when i want... i am a nurse, but i don't work as a nurse. i run a clinical drug trial (collect data) - which i can do from away most of the time... i guess i just am looking for reasons not to have be separated from him :embarrased:
  20. i just have always thought people who send their kids off to school were odd. i just can't imagine not being the primary caregiver of my child. shoot, he still puts on his clothes inside-out most of the time.
  21. as for living arrangements, the lady on the phone said that boarding students usually live with the families of teachers or other students who live in the area. which is just a weird prospect for me.
  22. HI SAM!!! :juggle: welcome!!
  23. oh and i am christi from lexington, kentucky USA
  24. yeah i lurked too  welcome to both of you!!
