  1. Like I said, I can die happy now!
  2. Yeah, while he was singing he leaned up against the crowd, and I had my hand on his shoulder (probably only about 5 sec., but it felt like forever!). He was definitely very sweaty, I had to wipe me hand afterward.
  3. Sorry, double post. My connection is funny today.
  4. Yeah, that's me next to the girl with the camera taking the picture. Funny!
  5. Yeah, that's me next to the girl with the camera taking the picture. Funny!
  6. Yeah! Me, LOGE 1 row G seat 4 (right in front of the railing at the front of the platform). Thanks for the photos!
  7. AMAZING PHOTOS alyssa! Those are incredible, great job! Are you really only 14? If so, you definitely have a great career ahead of you!
  8. That's funny, I can see myself in your picture #1 right in back of Chris!
  9. Concert details: Okay, I can honestly say that I can die a happy person now! I have actually touched Chris. When he ran behind the sound boards and up a small stage during In My Place, it was right in front of my seat! I had my hand on his shoulder while he was singing!! My heart was pounding so hard, I forgot to take a picture, although I did take one a few seconds later when he was 3 feet in front of me (from the back). Okay, now that that is out... Setlist- same as usual: square one politik yellow speed of sound gpasuyf x&y how you see the world 2 don't panic white shadows the scientist til kingdom come ring of fire trouble clocks talk swallowed (glad it was not hardest part!) in my place fix you KROQ will be replaying the concert streamlined on their website on Monday night. Hopefully someone will capture the audio and visual and post in the multimedia section. On a side note, I have to say that "How you see the world" is an amazing song, and live it is even better. I still don't understand how this song did not make it on X&Y (except Japan release) and the Hardest Part did. Okay also I don't know if anyone else saw this, but when they played swallowed there were visuals of written lyrics and words that filled the screen. I noticed a song list that read: 1. things I don't understand 2. tallie 3. what if 4. hardest part 5. swallowed Looks like they had a song called "tallie" that never made it to the final version. My guess, it was during some of the early recording sessions of X&Y. Anyway, that's my report!!!
  10. Even though it is not one of my favorites sonically, The Scientist has the best lyrics. Also like warning sign and daylight lyrically, but sonically they click for me more.
  11. We are not including b-sides right? MINE Always: hardest part, sparks, and green eyes....they just don't belong on each of those albums (maybe b-sides though) and ruin the flow Sometimes: yellow (most overrated song of all time) Never: the rest (especially NOT twisted logic...genius IMO)
  12. Since this broadcast is "live from the archives", then it is probably the show at the Shoreline Amphitheatre on August 19, 2005.
  13. You have to have it transfered to digital format first. You can take it to have this done or try one of these options: A. Originally posted by radioactive: Here's a software, which maybe will be helpful to transfer files from tape to PC: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Audio/Audio-Editors-Recorders/Cool-Edit-Pro.shtml OR B. Converting tape to mp3 is easy: 1. Get cassette player with a line out 2. Plug line out of cassette player into line in of computer 3. Download a free program like Audacity to record audio 4. Press record on the computer 5. Press play on the cassette player 6. Save as .mp3 Now, how to upload if you have iTunes (instructions compliments of Freeplay): OK, here's the instructions for iTunes: 1. Open iTunes 2. Insert the CD 3. The CD should show up on the panel on the left. Click on it. 4. The tracks will display in the main window. You'll probably need to rename them since it's a custom CD. To rename, just right-click on the track you want to change, and select Get Info from the pop-up. Go to the Info tab, then enter Name, Artist, Album, etc. and click OK. 5. Now you need to adust the encoding options. Click Edit in the menu bar at the top, then select Preferences.... 6. Click the Advanced tab at the top of the new window, then the Importing tab in the sub-window. 7. Click on the drop-down box next to where it says "Import Using:" and select MP3 Encoder. Then where it says Setting, pick "Higher Quality (192 kbps)." (As an alternative you could pick WAV encoder for a lossless recording, but this will result in a larger file). Uncheck "Play songs while importing." Click OK. 8. In the upper-right corner of iTunes, click the circle that says Import CD. 9. If you're on XP, your files should be put in the folder My Documents > My Music > iTunes > iTunes Music > [Artist] > [Album]. You'll need to know this information for rapidshare. 10. If you're on Mac or for some reason they're not there, check the settings in iTunes to see where it puts the files. To do this, go back to the Edit menu, and select Preferences... again. Then pick the Advanced tab, then the General tab. You'll see a box that gives your "iTunes Music folder location." Write this down if you need to. Now it's time to upload to rapidshare! (This is much easier.) 1. Go to http://www.rapidshare.de 2. Click the Browse... button. 3. Now navigate to the first file using the location. You want to choose the actual mp3 (or wav) file, not just the folder. Then click Open. 4. Now click Upload! 5. Wait while rapidshare uploads your file. You'll see a status bar that shows your status. 6. When rapidhare is done uploading, you'll get 2 links: a Download-Link and a Delete-Link. Copy the Download-Link, then come back to Coldplaying.com and paste it into your message. Repeat to upload the other track. Then just post! Clear as mud?
  14. It is something that you can post in the multimedia section as a digital audio file (mp3, aif, flac, etc.....) download? Or did you record it on tape? If you need help on that, I'm sure we would be happy to talk you through how to do that.
  15. How do you have it recorded at home? Did you tape the show while you were actually there, or did it broadcast sometime that you taped from? Very cool indeed.
  16. Can you give us details of where in San Fran they did this (I used to live there), and what the setlist was?
  17. you, me, and 20 thousand others. apparently there are fans in so cal, have no doubts.
  18. You are probably not getting much of a response because you are not asking in the right forum index....you need to look in the multimedia section of the boards. Also, as a newbie, get familiar with the SEARCH button to find what you want. In the meantime, you can get gravity and sleeping sun from the links posted by Freeplay on this page: http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=24846&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=90 The link should still be active, but you can download for free. Good luck.
  19. ^ It's because you don't understand it...twisted logic is that brillant. My vote goes to The Hardest Part, which is the worst CP song of all time.
  20. Is this the proper forum for this topic? anyways, my vote is A Message, althougth I think it will be SITS (but I wish it would be x&y)....
  21. Daylight period Ummmmm.....did you happen to see Live 2003 DVD? I need not say anymore.
  22. Exactly as is, only without the hardest part and white shadows to be replaced by how you see the world and sleeping sun. Then the singles should be: Square one (b-sides: the world turned upside down and proof) X&Y (b-sides: gravity and white shadows) A message (b-sides: things i don't understand and pour me)
  23. Agree, on both statements. I like the reasoning behind the title x&y, the solution to solving for unknown variables. It can mean whatever makes sense to each individual. The song x&y is brilliant too, the chorus is simply amazing. It makes perfect sense to me.
  24. Need you even ask such a silly question? Just see sig below. Nothing beats it. Nothing. :D
  25. SoTaF replied to kaisin's topic in Past Releases
Finally, someone mentions amsterdam....this song is amazing on the album, but live it give me goosebumps!! The solo piano in the beginning of this version is incredible. And this performance of daylight is fantastic, if you didn't like this song before on the studio album, and if you still don't like it after this live version....well you're smoking crack. Moses was a little flat for me, but never took to that song anyway. Everything's not lost is brillant with the chorus at the end. Flawless performance of every song, guess that is why it was an official release.
