Hey People,
My name is Myrick and I'm new to the boards. I'm 24 years old and I live in Georgia, USA. I first got into Coldplay when I saw the video for Yellow on Mtv2 in 1999/2000. I was in college at the time and was working on a degree in Broadcasting. Needless to say I am done with school and work in retail, go fig. But I went out and bought Parachutes the same day. So of course right about the time I start to like them, they have already toured over here. I tried following their success as much as I could from here, and have been enjoying their music ever since.
Finally, I saw they were coming to Atlanta and had heard rumors that Atlanta was special to them. When they toured here a few years ago, they were about ready to give up, but played one more show, and had a turn around. So I got to see Coldplay in Atlanta in September and it was awesome. I have their live dvd so I thought it would be a good show. Boy was I wrong. I couldn't beleive I was seeing them. Chris was right in his interview the next day. He said something about great bands being a part of the furniture that when they come into the room, you get star struck. And when they bought Michael Stipe out, it was icing on the cake. I'm a big fan of REM as well.
So, Coldplay is awesome. I'm a big fan. Hope to contribute what I can.
