mohammed cartoons
I will give you the answer. You didn't see the Moslems demonstrating when some extremist abuses thier and our relegion. Because the authourities bunish them [ the suitable bunish ] at least in Egypt But what happened in the last events very different for those reason: 1- First of all you must notice we didn't demonstrating after the publish of cartoons directly [ the publish date was 30 September 2005 ] 2- The Muslims announce that they condemn this cartoons and want from newspaper to apologize So I will tell you why we demonstrating but you must notice that all Muslims are completely condemn any violence actions 1- No one [ Prime Minister Of Denmark or Newspaper] apologize 2-Prime Minister Of Denmark refuse to meet Eleven ambassador [ as they childern want to play with him ] 3-In spite of Muslims say this cartoons annoying us,many european newspaper published this cartoons as they want to incitement us Did you know when we start demonstrating [ 29 January 2006 ] The Danish Prime Minister has nothing to apologize for, and actually we have a constitution that denies him this kind of power. He cannot interfere in what is published. If a publication, however, turns out to be against any rascist or blasphemic paragraphs, it can be taken to court. The Prime Minister has nothing to do with this, only the court. This is how democracy works in Europe. And yes, I know when these demonstrations started. It was hard to believe that suddenly people in countries that Denmark supports economically begin burning off our flag, the Dannebrog. When are people going to understand that the cartoons were drawn by 12 artists, not the entire population of Denmark?

British soldiers attacked defenceless Iraqi teenagers
Yes, it is very unacceptable, indeed. Obviously, these soldiers are not properly educated...

mohammed cartoons
Yes, but it was not an answer... I just don't see why people get so upset because of some drawings in a newspaper when extremists at the same time blow themselves up in the middle of a crowd. Why don't we see reactions to that insanity?

mohammed cartoons
The thing about this entire discussion is that it has gone out of all proportions...and also those demonstrations. Why don't we see Moslems demonstrating when some extremist abuses their religion and beheads a Western journalist?! Can anyone give me an answer?

mohammed cartoons
- A law only for Muslims, yes. On one hand I understand that many may feel offended by these drawings, and I'm absolutely sure that if the newspaper had known what they know today, the cartoons had not been published. On the other hand, however, the freedom of speech should not be questioned at all. It is absurd that out embassies and flags are being torched, and I'm happy that everyone in here agrees with that! :) I read this newspaper everyday and therefore I happen to know that these cartoons were published to start a debate. Few weeks before the publication the newspaper had run an article about some artists who out of fear for their safety had turned down an offer to draw illustrations of Mohammed for a children's book. Being a liberal newspaper they were greatly concerned about this "self-censorship"... What began as a regional debate has now turned into an international crisis that have cost Denmark its fine image. My country has lost its innoscence and I'm very unhappy with the misunderstandings that these cartoons have led to, but at the same time I recognise the freedom of expression as our most important human right! Secondly, religious leader in Denmark have made this crisis worse by spreading lies and fake cartoons around the Middle East - treason? Yes. Shame on them! :veryangry2:

News happening in your country...
Overreacting? Yes, definitely! 12 artist made these cartoons, not the Danish people.

News happening in your country...
Here in Denmark the news is greatly dominated by the infamous Mohammed cartoons. In fact, that's the only thing everyone has been talking about for several days now... They're burning our flags and our embassies for God's sake! :( Crazy people...
