In your opinion, how far was Coldplay's golden era? At what exact moment did the band change? If it hadn't changed, would it not be as relevant as it is today? And what do you expect from the band?

Hi fellow Coldplay fans! I was reading about Coldplay's commitment to going green in their concerts, which is one the many reasons why I love them so much. However, I ended up reading about how BMW is partnering up with them and sponsoring their net zero world tour, which seems bizarre, as BMW is one of the biggest lobbyists against climate measures. I think BMW might be taking advantage of them in order to position themselves as "green" and to cover up their lobbying activities. And Coldplay might not even know about it.... I wonder if we could write a letter or a petition to make them understand how BMW is using them. Any thoughts? x

I've been a huge Coldplayfan since A Rush of Blood was released, when I was 13 years old. Since then, I have seen the band multiple times and have never skipped a tour (except the Everyday Life shows, unfortunately). For this year, I have tickets for concerts in Frankfurt and Berlin. I think they'll do another extensive World Tour that will be dubbed "Farewell Coldplay" from 2026 through 2027. After that I expect Chris to release a solo album to launch his new post-Coldplay career, much like Sting did after The Police broke up. He may include Jonny, but not Will or Guy. Chris likes to create music too much. I don't think he'll quit writing music. The other members will certainly be able to live a good life. Today I have learned about the last 48 hours of a 5000 year old frozen man named Ötzi found in Austria. In 2001 X-rays and a CT scan revealed that Ötzi had an arrowhead lodged in his left shoulder when he died, and a matching small tear on his coat. The discovery of the arrowhead prompted researchers to theorize Ötzi died of blood loss from the wound, which would probably have been fatal even if modern medical techniques had been available.
