27-Jun- 2008: The TODAY Show Reviews/Photos/Videos
Well that was amazing. I came home and went right to sleep though because I've been awake sitting on the street since about 11 last night. But I did get in the section right behind the VIP section, there were so many of you guys, hah. Thanks so much for these amazing pictures, my camera is awful in the first place and kinda died halfway through, so this is really great. I liked how they had to go put on they're makeup after the soundcheck haha, and the progression of expressions on Chris's face when he caught those panties...priceless! Guy was so cute taking pictures with his camera. Oh yeah, and when Chris brought that kid on stage I was just like why am I not a 5 year old child with a broken arm. I wished that Chris came to our section since we had basically been camping out for so many hours, but it was still so worth it. That's probably the closest I've ever been to them, and definately the closest to Chris as he came running down the aisle. I loved the song choice too, I was sure it was just going to be new stuff, but hearing In My Place and the acoustic Yellow teaser was so AMAZING. It's ALL over the news, every time the news is on, on NBC anyway, they keep showing clips and asking for pictures and stuff. Anyway, very glad I went, hope everyone had a great time.

Good to see so many Long Islanders, I'm from Nassau. What time does anyone recommend a non-VIPer to get there and still be able to be in the front row? Basically should I leave my house now, or can I wait until like 2:00am? That being said, I'm shameless and am going to ask if anyone with a VIP ticket wants company lol.

TODAY SHOW (27th JUNE) COLDPLAYING EXCLUSIVE OVER - VIP PASS WINNERS ANNOUNCED
So I just got home, and scoped out the place right after work...so about 2 hours ago. I don't think there are any people there yet waiting to see the show, that would be really intense. Or maybe they could be there, and just blended in with lots of tourists and people. But I do see TONS of metal railings stacked on the sides of the street, and a large wooden frame...quite possibly the stage?? So it sounds like there are people that are actually going to camp out there tonight, any one else still near a computer and doing so? I just don't want to be the only one there haha, and have it turn out that no one even shows up until like 3. Nonetheless, i'm sooo excited for it!!!

I thought it was more and they only air 2-3. Well I hope it's more than 2-3 I need to find a way to prepare for the rain tonight if i want to get close to the stage.

TODAY SHOW (27th JUNE) COLDPLAYING EXCLUSIVE OVER - VIP PASS WINNERS ANNOUNCED
Well, I guess I'll be going at like 9pm tonight. Pulling an all-nighter for Coldplay, it was going to happen someday. The only thing I'm worried about is that it's suppose to rain tonight haha. Can anyone think of something that's open 24/7?

'42' on Daily Show with Jon Stewart
I was so happy that they played 42 and Lost! I was sure it was going to be Viva La Vida and Violet Hill, not that I don't like those two tracks, but it was something new and I think 42 may just be my favorite on the new album. I thought it was awesome, I love when they really just rock out, they all get a little bit closer together , it's great. Jon Stewart and Coldplay together...can things get much better?

TODAY SHOW (27th JUNE) COLDPLAYING EXCLUSIVE OVER - VIP PASS WINNERS ANNOUNCED
I know me too! I'm trying to figure out when to go in with my friends. Well I have to go to work there anyway tomorrow morning, so I'll try and let you know if there's anyone there then hah. I feel that if there aren't people posting on here saying that they are starting to camp out now, there's no one there. If you're that dedicated, you've probably come across Coldplaying.com lol But I'll keep a look out. Good thing I have Friday off.

TODAY SHOW (27th JUNE) COLDPLAYING EXCLUSIVE OVER - VIP PASS WINNERS ANNOUNCED
So would I. Pretty much anything. So for the people without VIP passes, are people honestly going that early? 9 pm the day before? Or do we think it's safe to get there at like 3 in the morning and still have a good spot?

TODAY SHOW (27th JUNE) COLDPLAYING EXCLUSIVE OVER - VIP PASS WINNERS ANNOUNCED
Today Show Congrats to all those who won! As you can see I haven't really written on many messageboards, but I'm trying to change that. I figured it's about time, I've been coming here for years and always read what goes on in the forums. Anyway, are we really thinking 9pm on Thursday? I shouldn't bother going home then, I work in Rockefeller Center hah. I really want to be close to the stage. I also don't think any one of my friends would be willing to pull an all-nighter on the street to see Coldplay, so if anyone else is going by themselves and wouldn't mind being joined, I'd love to meet other Coldplayers! No one else could ever understand this kind of behavior anyway. Let me know! Can't wait for Friday!!! And hey, if anyone else just happens to have an extra VIP ticket they want to donate to a huge fan, by all means...lol. I guess my poor attempt didn't catch their eye.

23-Jun-08: New York - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos
Congrats to the true Coldplay fans who won tickets. I was not as lucky and find myself desperate to get my hands on a pair of tickets. Perhaps this is me just being a sore loser, but the whole free concept sounded great at first. Now, I see that yes there are a bunch of hardcore fans who did receive tickets, but many more who just figured theyd try and et tickets to a free concert. Craigslist is laughable when you type in Coldplay tickets.P eople are asking for $700 for a pair of tickets they got for free, to a concert they apparently don't even really want to go to. People have even tried turning it into a dating service, maybe I should take one of those guys up on the offer. It 's weird to think that a set of 3,500 completely different people could have been selected. I just want to see my all-time favorite band in my home state. Anyway, enough complaining and venting, I just thought the whole thing turned out very interesting. On a brighter note, the album came out today!!!! And it's amazing of course, so that makes life good. And now after that rant I feel the need to ask ask , if anyone feels like giving/selling their ticket for a reasonable price, keep me posted hah.
