umm but hold on..he plays it with the same guitar as till kingdom come and ring of fire??im pretty sure those arent in standard tuning..they have sum wierd tuning(its also in the forum..check kapones tabs)...sorry about the name..not a big bob dylan fan..=/ if anyone could give it a shot that would be nice..thanks

I know this was a thread earlier in this forum..but i never found a good version of A Message Electric here... i searched and found something..but im not even sure that its right..is the electric also in a wierd tuning or is it stanrard??im jsut really confused when it comes to the electric part for that song..so i was wondering if anyone has it or could give it a try.. thanks

Hey..Ive been playing acoustic classical stuff for the past three years and im just getting into the whole electric and tech thing with guitars..im kinda new with all the teminology regarding electric guitars, amps, effects, pedals.. etc..i know sum basic stuff but am interesting in learnin more about the electric tech side of guitars..i was wondering if anyone knew any good sites with that kinda of info that could help me..i know im kinda being vague but i hope that makes sense about what im wantin to learn... thanks

Ok Wow..that looks real ugly..screw trying to put it into lines.. ill do it this way I guess i shulda used the preview post button =/ The Chords are : (Higher note first) 1. A G D# 2. G D# C 3. G D A 4. D# C G# Transitions: (The two notes played inbetween the chords) Inbetween 1 to 2: D# -- C Inbetween 2 to 3: C --- D# Inbetween 3 to 4: G --- D Inbetween 4 back to 1: Just the D# Try that... that might make more sense than the crap i had posted earlier

I'm not sure, but arent the chords the same in both the embrace and the studio version? the studio version sounds like the same with just a few little notes added inbetween as transitions between the chords..im not all too sure tho..im not a musical expert so.. =/ i was playined around with the chords and came up with this..it sounds kinda like it..but dont take my word for it..someone should correct it cause its probley not right but here... ---A#------------------------------------------------------------ ---G---3x-----------G---------------G----------G-------------------- ---D#-------D#-----D#--3x-----D#--D----3x-------D---D#--3x D#-- -----------------C--C--------C------A#----------------C-------------- --------------------------------------------------------G#------- Now that im done with that..it looks like more of a mess than music..its not in real staff notation or anything..i just wanted to try to keep it organized with the lines.. the three notes together are the chords(i think) and the notes inebtween are the transitions..i play it and it sounds kinda right..but im pretty sure its wrong in many ways..so if you can correct it id appreciate it..try it and see how it sounds...once agian**im not a musical genuis soo dont go to harsh..but this is what i culd come up with

Is that really the only thing thats played? When i see the live performance..i see bucklands hands moving around..so is there really no other chord or note pattern thats played? i saw a tab in kapones section thing today..im not sure if thats right either but it has the 11th bend like u said so ill try that.. is the tuning standard tho? cause in kapones it has sum wierd tuning

I don't really mind the new direction, but i think they shuld at least keep sum songs on the album in the style of parachutes/acoustics.. its always good to have sum variation plus the WHOLE new album shuldnt all be in the same style..a few new good direction songs wouldnt hurt anyways
