But when I read the Rolling Stone website I saw an interesting little piece on there: Chris Martin reportedly performed a surprise set last night that included a Coldplay tune "Buckets for a Crown" and covers of the Killers’ “When You Were Young,” Dylan’s “Buckets of Rain,” which Martin dedicated to his new pervy crush, U.K. sprite and professional sasser Lily Allen. “This is for Lily Allen. She’s gorgeous, she’s sweet. And if I wasn’t married…” All together now: WTF? :stunned:

I just got an e-mail from my friend who's on vacation in Australia saying he saw Coldplay come into the hotel he's staying at =O I can't remember the name of the hotel...but all I know is I'm so jealous since he doesn't even like them. He agreed to try and get some autographs for me if he sees them,though I doubt they're still there. Bah! This probably isn't even a noteworthy topic,but I'm just so jealous :( So I'll try and turn it into a decent topic: Had anyone had a close encounter with the band, or known anyone who has? :D

Too true ;D I sometimes stumble across drawings/stories I did when I was 13 and at the time i thought they were the best things ever,while now I'm just embarrased to look at them. We can all be critical when it comes to our own work,I suppose :D

Oh,when I said "not polished" it wasn't at all an insult...in fact I think over-produced, overly polished albums seem...artificial (maybe that's why I wasn't a big fan of X&Y at first). AROBTTH is still my favorite cd of theirs,but Parachutes had kind of a raw energy to it that's still awesome... ...I'm totally rambling now :laugh3:

I can't remember what station exactly I heard this on,but on tv the other day there was something about how Chris Martin admits that Parachutes was just an album with "terrible songs" on it. Did anyone else see/hear it? (it was a Canadian music show,to be more specific) Do you agree? Disagree? In my opinion,it wasn't their most polished album, but it was far from "terrible" as he said...but I guess artists are allowed to be critical of their own work, right? ;D

I'm actually listening to it right now..I'm hooked! I love this song to bits :D I heard the album version with just Nelly Furtado,and it's pretty good but Chris makes it that much better ;D

So,I know there's been lots of threads asking what your favorite Coldplay songs are,but what about the songs you aren't crazy about? Some people I'm sure might like all of their songs, but is there that one you just aren't a big fan of? Me personally,I don;t really like "A Whisper". Something about that pounding sound in the background makes me a little edgy. Do I sound like a total freak by now? XD So,I ask. Is there any Coldplay songs you might not like as much as the others,and why?

Ok,so I found my mp3 player the other day that was lost for about a year,and as I'm listening to the songs left on it,I hear this one Coldplay song I forgot about. The title of it was "Fix You" but it wasn't Fix You..it was a different song (confused yet?) ok,so the summary is, I have no idea what the title of the song is. The sound quality was pretty bad,but I tried to write down the lyrics: "If you're lost and feeling low, (something something) the globe, all you have is hope"...and that's all I got :sweatdrop: So, has anyone heard this mystery song? What's the title? What do you think of it if you have heard of it?

Ah-hah! I'm a gamer AND a Coldplay fan (big nerd right here! :lol: ) and I do enjoy all the other bands/singers mentioned...except for Kanye West (his music's good,but he's too full of himself >.<) And I love Family Guy, 24, South Park and The Daily Show too. Go stereotypes! I should show my brother and tell him he MUST start listening to Coldplay,because IGN told him to! Thanks for the article! :D
