  1. Something about which show it's from might help...
  2. They've said it themselves... Noel said somewhere that he can't stand to listen to that album now because he fucked it up so badly. Coke apparently makes you really confident, so you believe everything you do is great, even when it's a disaster. Noel gave it up after getting some serious night tremors (which is what the song Gas Panic is about), and so now they're only alcoholics, as opposed to that and coke heads. That's probably why the last album was the best thing they've done since Morning Glory.... Chris
  3. Remember that the songs on Be Here Now were excellent... the problem was just that they were so coked up when they were mixing the stuff that they produced an endless, painful to listen to album. 12 songs for 72 minutes, with one being short coda... ack! Coldplay, best I can tell, is not heavily into drugs. The only worry is that Chris' newfound love will make him a giant sap (as seems highly possible from the new songs on the tour), but as long as there is diversity in the material (ie, this doesn't become the I Love Gwyneth album), they should be fine. Chris Looking forward to Solid Ground done with full orchestra like Chris promised
  4. The news that I'd seen about it suggested it was just the 22nd... the jump between Amsterdam and Life is for the Living might be because they cut 1:36, which I think opened the second encore from the setlist I saw. Also, I haven't seen this yet, but unless they dressed EXACTLY the same both nights, it'd probably be pretty obvious whether or not they split it up or just used one show.
  5. I think $50 is about the maximum price for a top notch band... anything above that gets to be gauging unless the band has a ridiculously loyal fanbase (ie Springsteen charging $80 a ticket for a Shea Stadium show where everyone above the first level will be seeing an ant). Agreed with whoever posted above about the ridiculous t-shirt prices nowadays... I went to see Meatloaf and they wanted $35 for a t-shirt, which is just too much - I passed. I can get Guster shirts for $10, and will probably have 2-3 by the end of the year. Simple economics will tell you that lowering prices on such items will drive up sales. The question is of course whether the extra number of shirts sold will make up for the drop in price, but I think 1)it likely is and 2)a few bucks out of the band's pockets would end up buying a lot of goodwill from fans.
  6. I remember finding somewhere that there's a Direct Connect hub for downloading Coldplay shows, but I can't find the thread that had the listing. Anyone know what the hub is? Chris
  7. Many thanks! :-D
  8. They played it a bunch of times on the European tour last fall, but not on the US tour this spring, which is the tour from which I find all the concerts for download. And yes, it is a highly underappreciated song. Very moving, especially if you've had good experiences with a girl with green eyes. :) Chris
  9. Just puttering around online tonight and noticed that Coldplay played Green Eyes live a bunch of times. I haven't seen the song for download anywhere online. Does anyone know where I could find it, or could someone be so kind as to hook me up with it? Thanks in advance. Chris "Oh give me love over, love over, lover this... aahhhhh"
  10. I have the whole thing on audio cassette but am clueless as to how to turn that into MP3s. Chris
