  1. They weren't playing shows the six months preceding the Viva Tour though. I still don't see how they are playing just 90minutes
  2. Thank you Lore! I think I saw your link on facebook and was so frustrated that I couldn't watch!
  3. Yup, it was pretty fun down there. I was front row on the left just past Johnny with Angie. I was completely dumbfounded when I saw people sitting up top when MX was played. I made hand gestures and everything. Then I realized I was on a tv show and probably going to look like an idiot now! :P EDIT: I do have to say the crowd sounded a lot better now that I have it downloaded and listened to.
  4. he did it at lollapalooza awesome. brought back some memories
  5. My formal review- Arrived around 5pm with Angie and got an okay spot behind the mix tent due to all of the railing being occupied. Got to see a little of the behind scenes stuff like roadies (mindlessly) blowing up the balloons, fog machines tested cameras set up etc. That was cool. We hung out there till coldplay came on a couple hours later. The intro tracks played and people started getting excited for the band. MX played and the crowd really didn't seem to get into it at all. Chris started Yellow and some life came out of the crowd but still lacking that awesome energy I saw at other shows. There was little singing and dancing after the first 20 seconds of the song. I was expecting that to change once God Put A Smile was played but not much changed. It seemed like that for the rest of the show until Viva when the crowd went bonkers. Charlie Brown got everyone going a bit but I still felt I was at a tv performance where people are there just to be there and not to see one of their favorite bands. Even in Chicago, you could clearly here the crowd singing a long to Everythings Not Lost, The Scientist and Even Parts of ETIAW but at least from where we were standing, the energy just wasn't there. Just people carrying on conversation and debating on going to Kanye. Still a great show though for me even though it was awkward getting into the music and stuff with a sea of zombies standing around me
  6. Nope first time im asking. Is there a video or something with the song?
  7. Does anyone know the name of the track played before 99 Problems? That was the first time they had two intro songs (maybe it was ACL) but I really liked the song and it was perfect for coldplay
  8. Good god what a dead crowd! the boys played great and was flight next to chris when he climbed the beam!
  9. 8 Michaels/Mikes won but I am not one of them :( oh well I will be seeing ya'll friday though!
  10. 10/10..those chords..
  11. Don't get me wrong, it was AWESOME but I've seen some pretty unbelievable coldplay shows. Filming of Lost! music video and Alpine valley where Chris came out and had a speech about how it was the best crowd of their viva tour etc. The Lolla crowd was fantastic, you guys in front did us other coldplayers good :)
  12. Who would have thought my initial post several months ago would come true and we would see our favorite band in front of 50,000+.. had tons of fun with Angie and Christa at the show (thanks for holding my spot with a chair gals) I saw the boys land at midway airport the night before with my two non coldplay fanatic friends. It was my first time ever going to see them off the stage. I couldnt pass up the opportunity. Pulled up next to their brigade on the road and got Chris to look up and that was about it. They all looked exhausted, rightfully so. Maybe if I'm with some fan girls next time it will go better:laugh3: The show was good. Not too close not too far but our spot made the lightshow looked phenomenal. Way different from being front row. I felt Chris talked less and was a little less a enthusiastic about the show as a whole from previous times seeing them in chi town but that's what you can expect when they are cramming a festival tour and finishing an album all at once. Looking forward to tour time and meeting more of y'all :) Ebs
  13. That would be my video. EMI filed a copyright suit on my channel and may want "damages fine" Check out http://www.coldplaybootlegs.com for the video. You can find most of the orgasmic video you see of them on YouTube over there. If you have any troubles don't hesitate to PM me.
  14. you are not the only one! I am currently at Western Michigan college of aviation
  15. I am right on the barrier right side of sound tent hoping to push up soon
  16. Oh believe me, I was going insane in my car. Screamed "CHRIS!!!" when we were at a red light next to them, Kelly got on his cell phone and we split. Cops were everywhere, it was like Barack Obama just landed:D
  17. Coldplay have arrived everyone! Just watched them land and drive off to their hotel
  18. Walgreens. There is one in walking distance too
  19. Its always been in Chicago except this year there was also one in Chile. I believe it is supposed to start traveling in the near future though If anyone or anyone that knows of someone getting rid of tickets, preferably 3 day passes, I have two friends that were too late in purchasing them and are willing to pay a little bit more than face. let me know!
  20. I also got the print pass but don't we get our wristbands as they scan them in at the gate? Or are you doing it the day before to save time?
  21. unfortunately Lolla's fence line is pretty wide and most of the park is obscured by trees and such so you probably won't see much from the outside :(
