Anu Malik (Hindi: अनु मलिक) (born 2 November 1960), born Anwar Malik, is a music director in the Hindi (or Bollywood) film industry. He is known for judging Indian Idol where he has been a judge from 2005–present. He has won the National Award for his work in Refugee.[1] His song "Chamma Chamma" from China Gate was used in the English movie Moulin Rouge, starring Nicole Kidman, and "Chunari Chunari" from Biwi No.1 was used in Monsoon Wedding. With his work in crossover films like Bride and Prejudice, he is among the few Indian film composers with international projects to his credit. Anu Malik's debut film was Hunterwali produced by Mohan Choti in 1977, though his next film poonam was his second film in 1980. Since then, he has composed music for more than 350 films. The son of veteran composer Sardar Malik, brother of Abu Malik and Daboo Malik, Anu Malik learnt music from Pandit Ram Prasad Sharma (Babaji)[citation needed]. He made his debut in hunterwali in 1977 . He composed for various famous films like Sohni Mahiwal, "{ mard"]' and Ganga Jamuna Saraswathi,got recognition for them,but still throuout 1980's he could not get much of the work as there were so many giants like r.d.burman ,laxmikant-pyarelal,kalyanji-anandji and bappi lahiri were full on song. Vaseline is a brand of petroleum jelly based products owned by Anglo-Dutch company Unilever. Products include plain petroleum jelly and a selection of skin creams soaps, lotions, cleansers, deodorants and personal lubricants. Vaseline also has body lotion and Vaseline Intensive Care. It has been considered generic in some countries like Chile and Brazil in regards to goods from class 3, where the Unilever products are called Vasenol. The first known reference to the name Vaseline was by the inventor of petroleum jelly, Robert Chesebrough in his U.S. patent for the process of making petroleum jelly (U.S. Patent 127,568) in 1872. "I, Robert Chesebrough, have invented a new and useful product from petroleum which I have named Vaseline…". The word is believed to come from German Wasser (water) + Greek έλαιον [olion] (oil) + scientific-sounded ending -ine.[1] In 1859, Chesebrough went to the oil fields in Titusville, Pennsylvania and learned of a residue called "rod wax" that had to be periodically removed from oil rig pumps. The oil workers had been using the substance to heal cuts and burns. Chesebrough took samples of the rod wax back to Brooklyn, extracted the usable petroleum jelly, and began manufacturing the medicinal product he called Vaseline.[2] Vaseline was made by the Chesebrough Manufacturing Company until the company was purchased by Unilever in 1987. Alina Vladimirovna Jidkova (born January 18, 1980 in Moscow, Soviet Union), soubriquet Alinka, is a former Women's Tennis Association tennis player. Jidkova's father, Vladimir, is an engineer; mother, Lina, is a school teacher; brother, Dmitriy, owns a construction business. Her most memorable tennis experience was playing Lindsay Davenport for the first time at the Australian Open and beating Serena Williams in 2004 in Linz. She has career victories over Serena Williams, Jelena Janković, Mary Pierce, Chanda Rubin, Samantha Stosur, Daniela Hantuchová, Amanda Coetzer, and many other big names in women's tennis. Jidkova underwent knee surgery on 3 April 2001 for torn meniscus suffered during practice after Miami, returning to action in late April. Jidkova resides in Boca Raton, Florida, U.S., and is married to entrepreneur Sascha Ghods. The two married on December 18, 2010, in a ceremony in Vienna, Austria. She retired from professional tennis at the end of the 2010 season, and now coaches Kazakhstani player Galina Voskoboeva.

The heterokonts or stramenopiles are a major line of eukaryotes[1] currently containing more than 100,000 known species, most of them diatoms.[2] Most are algae, ranging from the giant multicellular kelp to the unicellular diatoms, which are a primary component of plankton. Other notable members of the Stramenopila include the (generally parasitic) oomycetes, including Phytophthora of Irish potato famine infamy and Pythium which causes seed rot and damping off. The name heterokonts refers to the motile life cycle stage, in which the flagellate cells possess two different shaped flagella. Heterokont algae are chromists with chloroplasts surrounded by four membranes, which are counted from the outermost to the innermost membrane. The first membrane is continuous with the host's chloroplast endoplasmic reticulum, or cER. The second membrane presents a barrier between the lumen of the endoplasmic reticulum and the primary endosymbiont or chloroplast, which represents the next two membranes, within which the thylakoid membranes are found. This arrangement of membranes suggest that heterokont chloroplasts were obtained from the reduction of a symbiotic red algal eukaryote, which had arisen by evolutionary divergence from the monophyletic primary endosymbiotic ancestor that is thought to have given rise to all eukaryotic photoautotrophs. The chloroplasts characteristically contain chlorophyll a and chlorophyll c, and usually the accessory pigment fucoxanthin, giving them a golden-brown or brownish-green color. Most basal heterokonts are colorless. This suggests that they diverged before acquisition of chloroplasts within the group. However, fucoxanthin-containing chloroplasts are also found among the haptophytes. These two groups may have a common ancestry, and possibly also a common phylogenetic history with cryptomonads. This may be interpreted as suggesting that the ancestral heterokont was an alga, and all colorless groups arose through loss of the secondary endosymbiont and its chloroplast.

Sharpie is a brand of disposable writing utensils manufactured by Sanford (a Newell Rubbermaid company) and sold in Canada, New Zealand, Australia, the United States and parts of Europe. Originally a name designating a single permanent marker, the Sharpie brand has been widely expanded and can now be found on a variety of previously unrelated permanent and non-permanent pens and markers formerly marketed under other brands. The original Sharpie marker was introduced in 1964[1] as a fine point all-surface black pigment ink permanent marking pen.[2] Today, traditional permanent Sharpies are sold in seven varieties, according to the shape and size of their tip(s), ranging from "Ultra Fine" to "Magnum". Isla Contadora (or Contadora Island in English) is a Panamanian island on the Pearl Islands archipielago (Spanish: Archipielago de las Perlas) in the Gulf of Panama. A popular tourist destination, Contadora has a small regional/domestic airport (IATA code: OTD), and has regular flights to and from Panama City and the rest of the islands in the archipielago. [edit] History Contadora was the island where the Spanish would count the pearls that were harvested from the other islands in the archipielago, hence the name of the island. Contadora in Spanish means Accountant. The islands produced pearls of many colors and sizes, and during the many years when pearls were harvested from the waters around the islands, the natives would converge to Contadora to count their pearls and sell them to the Spaniards. Early last century there was an underwater epidemic which killed most of the pearl oysters, reducing the production of pearls to a dribble. The Contadora Peace Accords, which laid the foundation for peace in Central America, were negotiated in this island during the 1980s. Hence the Contadora Group owes their name from the island's name.

The cat (Felis catus), also known as the domestic cat or housecat[5] to distinguish it from other felines and felids, is a small furry domesticated carnivorous mammal that is valued by humans for its companionship and for its ability to hunt vermin and household pests. Cats have been associated with humans for at least 9,500 years,[6] and are currently the most popular pet in the world.[7] Owing to their close association with humans, cats are now found almost everywhere on earth. Cats are similar in anatomy to the other felids, with strong, flexible bodies, quick reflexes, sharp retractable claws, and teeth adapted to killing small prey. As nocturnal predators, cats use their acute hearing and ability to see in near darkness to locate prey. Not only can cats hear sounds too faint for human ears, they can also hear sounds higher in frequency than humans can perceive. This is because the usual prey of cats (particularly rodents such as mice) make high frequency noises, so the hearing of the cat has evolved to pinpoint these faint high-pitched sounds. Cats rely more on smell than taste, and have a much better sense of smell than humans. Despite being solitary hunters, cats are a social species and use a variety of vocalizations, pheromones and types of body language for communication. These include meowing, purring, trilling, hissing, growling, and grunting.[8] Cats have a rapid breeding rate. Under controlled breeding, they can be bred and shown as registered pedigree pets, a hobby known as cat fancy.
