  1. A UK tour that doesn't leave England lol. Hopefully they still have dates to announce and are stiull trying to fit Scotland & Wales into the schedule. Not complaining mind you as I was lucky enough to get a ticket for SECC but would be good for fans that weren't so lucky.
  2. Seen U2 & Coldplay there in 2001. Amazing venue (if you get the weather that is lol) Is there any rumours for a Scottish show this summer? At work so not got time to trawl thru the forums
  3. Yeah it is a bit crap really but I suppose demand will be high and it stops folk bulk buying. I reckon 4 would be fairer. Good luck getting 8 anyway
  4. Not sure if this will apply in the pre sale or at Ticketmaster but the SECC's ticket website says only 2 tickets per person http://www.ticketsoup.com/tickets/coldplay-2011-13158/default.aspx
  5. This is definitely an unauthorised DVD. Click on the label 'Stax' to see their other unauthorised documentaries
  6. Good to see everyone above me has a great sense of humour! For foxache they're best mates! Its banter! Chris does it himself on stage. Look it up on Google!!
  7. Love the pic :) But thought I'd let you know that your lyric quote is wrong. It's 'few things I need you to know' Sorry about that, not being a smart arse :) Would be rich coming from somebody that can't even spell his name properly :) Show tonight sounds like it was amazing. Wonder where they go from here? Hope they bring out new stuff asap :)
  8. Must have had a different stage in Glasgow cos it was doing plenty there lol :)
  9. Would agree with everything you said there apart from it being quite poor. Was at U2 last month too and that was amazing :)
  10. Oh can I just add.....I don't think the mini stage thing works in a stadium. Was really cool in the arena's but it kinda broke up the show too much and there was too much delay in getting them back to the stage. Was a bit disjointed. Would have been cool for the folk up the back mind you that were close so swings and roundabouts :)
  11. Somebody started playing the VLV tape before Chris had finished playing Postcards From Far Away. An 'I was there' moment lol
  12. Shortish review before I hit the sack lol Another great show but I do prefer them indoors if I had to choose. Lots of arseholes in the crowd tonight where I was standing that wanted to chat away quite loudly anytime they played a quieter song. Maybe I attract them I dunno lol.........................anyway! Band were on top form tonight even when they tried playing 2 songs at the one time (they fucked up the start of Postcards From Far Away when somebody hit the Viva La Vida switch) but things like that make gigs special for me. Loved the setlist tonight. Jay Z coming on for Lost+ was the highlight for me. Thought he would seeing as its being recorded for Radio 1 and it was amazing! Sound was good where I was although I prefer it a bit louder. Hampden does have shitty sound mind you so maybe the louder it gets the worse it becomes. Not the most boisterous crowd I've ever seen in Glasgow although it looked really special down the front anytime they were on the screen. The screen is fantastic!! Stage is really simple but the screen is just superb. Great vids during most of the songs. Thought Glass of Water's visuals were stunning. The X Factor thing after Yellow was cheesy as but still funny in a sort of watch through your hands cringe way lol. Bit of fun :) Anyway to sum it up another special gig. Jay Z put in the best support slot I've seen since Red Hot Chilli Peppers supported U2 at Slane Castle (With Coldplay on before them ). The man is amazing!! Oh and I was standing next to Jo Whiley! She is absolutely stunning in the flesh! Never took any pics this time so look forward to everyone else's
  13. Ditto about the U2 show! My 5th U2 show and undoubtedly the best. Was in the Red Zone and was soooooo close to the band so many times (like 3ft away) Anyway back on topic (lol) you won't be disappointed. They were amazing in December and its the best overall show (ie music and lighting etc) that I've seen outside a U2 show. Only problem will be the crappy Hampden sound!! Was good at U2 where I was but think it depended on where you were standing. Always been the case there!

I loved the Kings of Leon set (although my mate said at one point it reminded him of The X Factor lol). They keep it simple and let the music do the talking :)

Beat me to it lol :)

I don't really see the Zoo TV comparisons myself? If anything with the huge screen I would compare it to Popmart if I had to. Anyway most gigs I goto these days you can see where bands have nicked stuff from U2 shows (who I'm sure probably nicked it from elsewhere lol). The Killers especially. Seen U2 last week in Glasgow and it was the best show I've ever been to. Next gig is Coldplay at Hampden and if its even half as good as their first Glasgow show in December then its gonna be totally amazing! :)
  17. Think it may be a celtic thing lol! We tend to use obscenities as compliments here :D. Think its just to confuse the English lol
  18. I think this has been taken way out of context. Anybody that takes it seriously needs their head checked. Both of them are great pals and I bet Chris Martin was pissing himself laughing when he heard it and is already thinking of a suitable reply for Bono (no doubt tucked away in a made up lyric as he often does 'why don't you shave between your eyes' being the best I can remember) . If anybody actually listens to what was said after it (conveniently ignored by the tabloid media suprisingly enough) then Bono pays Chris the biggest compliment you can get and also says he was only joking and that Chris has a great soul and that Coldplay are an amazing band. The link is below http://u2.com/news/article/4602 Bono: (getting serious) But he happens to be a genius melodist and, I think, up there with Ray Davies and Noel Gallagher and Paul McCartney and I absolutely think they're a great band and it actually turns out he's a great soul as well. So, I'm sorry, sorry about that... (Both laugh) I'm a huge U2 and Coldplay fan and one of the best days I've had was when they played together at Slane in Aug 2001.
  19. Rubbish is maybe taking it a bit far. You can't call an album with an amazing song like Kite on it 'rubbish'! Anyway you're obviously not a fan and we won't agree so fair's fair! :) Its all about Coldplay at the moment anyway :)
  20. Sorry thats bollocks! They were fantastic! No offence like :D
  21. Great performance at The Grammy's! Watching it on ITV2 just now. Really whets my appetite for September :) U2 kicked serious arse as well :)

Just to wish everyone on the board a very merry Xmas If you don't celebrate Xmas then have an equally fab and peaceful time Here's to 2009 and some mindblowing stadium gigs :D
  23. Can only compare with the show I seen on Saturday and don't agree with you but I can totally see where you're coming from. Have to say the Saturday show is up there in my top 3 gigs I've been to!
  24. Cool pics! Was really thinking about going to Coldplay tomorrow cos I could have got a seat in the 5th row slap in the front middle section today but I really can't afford it. Need to be Hampden for my next Coldplay fix :(
  25. Yeah I know someone that was at that gig (are we talking Arcade Fire here?) and raved about it. Eventually got me into the band hearing her rave about them. Having a bit of a come down moment here lol. Had a run of 5 gigs in 3 weeks. Next one isn't till the end of Jan so I'll be twiddling my thumbs for a while now :(
