I think the question is a bit too broad for a poll... Perhaps "Are you better with sciences or arts?" would work better.

Fucking hell Chris you're taking this way too scientifically. It's a general question about life. I'm much better at sciences, as I can understand them better, yet I still greatly appreciate art, simply because I'm amazed that some people can do things which I'm terrible at. Music is the exception for me...

http://www.buckle.com/product/product_detail.jsp?prd=81215VULCSIDERT Saw them in the store the other day, but they didn't have them in my size, so I ordered them online. They're supposed to arrive today :wacky:
  4. I was pretty hyped about these new skittles :(

    "college classes" lolz
  6. People who only listen to music because it's popular. Having different tastes in music is fine, but when you only listen to Lil Wayne because everyone else does, fuck you.
  7. Be aware that there is a very distinct difference in terminology between the USA and the rest of the world. In the US, there is very little difference academically between a "college" and a "university". In the U.S. the terms are synonymous; other countries use "college" to refer to some secondary schools, but "university" is always used to mean an institution of tertiary education and higher learning. Universities are usually larger and often contain multiple "colleges" within them. However, some of the top-ranked schools in the US have a name including "college" (ex. Dartmouth College). In other parts of the English-speaking world, the term "university" equates to the US use of "college" and the term "college" refers more to a trade or vocational school. Wikipedia has a page that describes the differences at wikipedia.org (answers.com)
  8. Hahaha noo. Colleges and Universities in the US serve the same purpose. I'm pretty sure Colleges are just smaller? No one every says "I'm going to university". We say "I'm going to college". Just forget everything I've told you and remember College = University (in the US)
  9. Noo. In the US, College is the same thing as University. Well, technically there is a difference, but we always just say college.

Then they're just not good Muslims.
  11. One more year? Haven't you been at your little community college for like 3 already?

Hahah, I think the phrase "stupid law" is kind of redundant. Any muslim (weed) smokers out there? My friend is, and he had to quit for now because of Ramadan, but his facebook status is "Goodbye Artemis. you have been there through the highs and lows" so I guess he just quit for a long time. Artemis is his pipe.

Yep! See...stereotypes are just something that's often correct, but isn't always. It really bothers me when so many people cry about stereotypes being so evil. It's wrong to judge a person for them, but it's just basic human instinct...how we view people from other cultures.
  15. Josh42 replied to Soufiane's topic in The Lounge
The one big stereotype that comes to mind for me, having a few friends from arab countries is that their parents are REALLY strict. Most arab people I know don't get their driver's licenses until a year or two after everyone else, for example.

I mow lawns...sometimes my dad works with me...that would be kind of awkward...

I hate the word pot :(
  18. Josh42 replied to Soufiane's topic in The Lounge
Me say stereotypes are natural human instinct. You shouldn't judge people just based on their appearance, although we are naturally inclined to do so. I give everyone a shot to be my friend, whether it's a white person, black person, foreigner, etc...but I still stereotype and know that most black people eat chicken (which is true), most white people suck at dancing (true), and most asians are fucking amazing at math (true). HATERS GONNA HATE

Ah, so you just confessed that cops do nothing to prevent crime (by crime I mean something violent, such as murder, rape, or theft). What is the purpose of their existence, then?
  20. Josh42 replied to mksh24's topic in The Lounge
No. The real "overgeneralization" is how they are all hailed as heroes for doing absolutely nothing. They spend more time locking up innocent people who have done NOTHING than they do actually preventing murders, rapes, robberies, etc.
  21. Josh42 replied to mksh24's topic in The Lounge
They're terrible at their job, which was originally "to protect and serve". :/
  22. Josh42 replied to mksh24's topic in The Lounge
Something like that, yea. Hahaha what the hell...naw mang he said if you are present at the house. Do you really doubt the assholeness of cops?
