I agree with you that you shouldn't be a slave to the band and praise anything they release. I, for example, don't particularly like Life in Technicolour (songs without lyrics.. come on.. ?) and Chinese Sleap Chant. I also think Violett Hill missed the spot a bit, although I wouldn't deem it bad. However, there are some songs that are genuinely good. I like the upbeat feal of Strawberry Swing. I like the moodiness and blackness of Yes. I also like the feeling of Lovers in Japan. I think this new sound works for them, although they haven't produced their Magnum Opus yet with this album.. They can do even better.

Helaas niet te koop.. Ik stond om half negen op een strategisch gekozen postkantoor (waar naar mijn idee weinig mensen zouden komen). Om 10:00 stonden we met z'n vijven. Ik was er uiteindelijk als derde, dus de strategie heeft gewerkt :cool:. Ik weet niet hoe het bij "hotspots" geweest is (utrecht, neude?), maar ik gok een stuk drukker. Ik kon er vier nemen, maar ik ga met twee vrienden en vond het niet nodig er een extra te nemen. Je kan ze nu al op marktplaats kwijt voor 150 euro, maar ik wil er niet aan verdienen ofzo, dus ik liet de mogelijkheid schieten. Voor wie het volle pond gaat betalen, Tot 2 oktober !

I don't agree at all.. I think the album is a musical Rembrandt... It's vibrant and melodious. I think, as a whole, this is their best album yet... kudo's!!!
