Your Ultimate Coldplay Setlist
I have found this quite fun on some other forums, always interesting to see what other people would choose, and what you would choose too. Some rules to keep things simple: - Limited to 20 songs (including encore) - Can include songs from any era, or any covers you'd like to see them do Good luck! My setlist (obviously subject to change... a lot :p) White Shadows (with extended stringy intro) Cemetries of London Politik What If Lovers In Japan Trouble Don't Panic A Rush of Blood to the Head A Message See You Soon Shiver Lost! Viva La Vida Clocks Yes Violet Hill The Scientist 42 Encore: Green Eyes Death and All of His Friends That was so much harder than I thought it would be... definately subject to change =D

I will fail my exams because of coldplay.
Hahaha. I can definately relate. I had my first exam today, and the next is tomorrw, and look what I'm doing! Reading your message about the exact thing that I shouldn't be doing... It's just too exciting. Last week I had a major assignment due and actually displayed some control and didn't d/l the album until after I had handed it in. Took a lot of will power but I'm glad I did it. =D Good luck! What and where you studying?

Coldplay to perfom at MTV Movie Awards on June 1
Short answer: no :P I think they had A LOT of backing track going on... obviously the strings and effects and maybe even some vocals. If not then their vocals were amazingly spot on and I am even more in awe :p Probably singing over a backing track to make it sound fuller and more on pitch. I'm really looking forward to seeing Violet Hill live now, as I think that live it will be much more interesting to watch and hear the actual band members more than the backing tracks.

Nowhere near as bad as it was sounding... I really liked it. However, I am dissapointed that they relied so heavily on the backing track.. not only the full strings but also piano bits, effects and shiz. I know it's hard not to with that song but I'd rather have heard everyone do their bit and make it more 'live' rather than singing and playing over the studio version (ie. karaoke/guitar hero style)

big hi from melbourne australia
Hi Sandra!! My name is Joel and I'm from Melbourne too! =D Great part of the world... just a little cold at the moment... I'm actually a relatively new fan of the band. I have always liked their singles enough, especially The Scientist and Clocks, but only had listened to AROBTTH until a few months ago when I invested in Parachutes, X&Y and Live 2003. I had no idea what I had been missing out on! It's a shame that the radio flog them because I think that's why I was put off a bit for a while there. By the time Violet Hill was released, I was hooked, and was definately not dissapointed. I'm really loving this new stuff, and am really looking forward to the album.
