Man if there was anyway to describe tonight, it wouldn't be too far from an outdoor house party. Seriously most of all the little kids, couples, and friends I saw were in good spirits just enjoying the music, whether under the influence or not. And maybe since it's summer, it was like going to a baseball game. The fooood did help though, lemonade, Ben & Jerry's, kettle corn, garlic fries, cotton candy, I could go on but I'll stop here. All the same, very nice vibe from the crowd tonight. My seat was in the 101 section so the ramp was smack dab in front of me. This time, I was able to feel the butterfly rain, get hit by the yellow balloons, and get a glow stick that Chris threw. I definitely had to watch my head tonight, lol. Very worth it all though. I second the Billie Jean request, sounded awesome live. I believe they did a version of Sitting on the Dock of the Bay on the C-stage as well... I'm glad I went to see Coldplay in concert again, cause this time around the album was saturated more and the live instruments brought out sounds and melodies you just don't fully get from the cd. While I did notice that sometimes the crowd wasn't fully into the concert by means of dancing or other "physical output", it was only a few times. The interest was still there, it was just a laid back energy. Favorite banter: "I don't mean to sound like a schoolteacher...but, that's just the way it's going to be." - Chris *along the lines of* I have a lack of pictures and videos, though I did manage to get screen footage of God Put A Smile Upon Your Face and snippets of a roadie breakdancing to Jay-Z before the concert began. just a nice nice nice way to spend a summer monday night :)

It's about 2.1 miles away from Shoreline, I wouldn't say it's walkable. Though the Mountain View CalTrain does have a free Shoreline Shuttle that will get you to the venue. http://www.caltrain.com/shuttles_sc.html *shuttle map and time here* It only runs so late so you will most likely have to get a cab to take you back. There should be cabs around after the concert if not here's a number you can call: Mountain View Yellow Cab (650) 254-1234 happy travels :)

My Disappointment With Coldplay Live...
I understand the disappointment and that's exactly what it is, not extreme anger. :) Especially when it was stated in an interview. For whatever reasons we won't know for sure, that did not come to pass. So I wouldn't necessarily be quick to say that the boys were 'lazy' on their part. After all we don't know what business dealings, contracts, technical aspects, personal preferences they have. Again that does not belittle anyone's feelings or thoughts of being disappointed with a fixed setlist and desiring to hear more of their other songs. I would love to see some variation in their setlist too. Still I know that I will enjoy my concert regardless. Just like others who have expressed in this thread, disappointed yes but still going to enjoy their shows. ;)

TICKETS FOR SALE OR TRADE [2009/2010]
I would definitely check Craigslist San Francisco before Ebay as there have been some good prices for pairs in the lower sections and upper sections. They keep popping up each week. And there's always the day of the concert, people who can't make it but have some awesome seats to spare. Good Luck! ;) http://sfbay.craigslist.org/search/tix?query=coldplay&minAsk=min&maxAsk=max

Shoreline is pretty strict about moving closer and with cameras too as I experienced everytime I went. I think they just want to have control over the crowd so nothing gets out of hand. If you're walking down the aisle, you will be seen. I went for closer seats as my vision is lacking so at least I will see more than blurs on the stage. As for reselling tickets, it's pretty easy, you can either meet the person at an starbucks, etc or do it through paypal and ship. It just depends if being closer to the stage is a priority for you or not. It looks like the good seats are still available and I last checked at 7:05 pm

U2 singer Bono apologises after foul-mouthed insult of Coldplay's Chris Martin
I absolutely love both bands equally...and love that they are friends. I agree about the question regarding the shower....that's the only thing that threw me off! Then hearing the w-word it didn't spark anything with me since I know both bands are friends. Bono himself has said he has a big mouth...gets him in trouble at times. lol The only issue with the host was using that word on radio, she was trying to prevent any complaints with the station. Radio wants to make sure they don't get slapped with lawsuits. To me the word Bono used is not a swear word as much as other 4 letter words. The host said "h*ll" so it definitely seems like a contradiction. Honestly the whole thing makes me laugh. Friends kid each other around, and when it gets on national broadcast, it's up for interpretation and judgement. But I guess they're used to that. But really though the shower question...

With a few exceptions I saw seats in the last fews rows of the 100 section, they were priced around 500 each. But it still looks like broker sites did not even get good seats. One thing that slipped my mind, if Oxfam tours with Coldplay again it would be great for those who weren't able to get tickets. You'd be volunteering for a great cause and would get a free ticket to the concert. Of course seating varies, but it has got to be better than lawn seats, and even if it's lawn seats, it would still be free. I plan to volunteer this time around, have been wanting to for years. I've done similar outreach programs at other concerts, and it's always been a blast.

it is strange. as of now, there are still seats in the 7th row & beyond for single ticket dwellers, the closest rows are in sec 202 & 204. The system must have delayed in its setup, releasing the 200's and the other seating map later. The great thing about Shoreline, is that there's a great view in the 100s and 200s and the lawn too. I wouldn't recommend the lawn for people who have to take a break for whatever needs you have (food, restroom, etc.) since it's first-come-first serve, you better hope that someone's watching your spot. Me, I like my reserved space, even what little it is. Hope people get some decent seats. :)
