At the moment, I'm giving Mylo Xyloto either 8 or 9 out of 10. It's a natural progression from Viva la Vida, if you ask me. I love that these guys have loosened things up and brought a little more swagger into their step. I think it is certainly their most "fun" record. I welcome the band opening up the playbook with new textures and influences. Acoustic guitar/piano ballads get old after a while. My only complaint is that the album feels really short for 14 tracks. Anyway, onward and upward!
