At the beginning there was another winner and her boyfriend. That's who the whole band really came in for. Then everyone left with the exception of the lady from Capitol Records and my aunt who had come with me. Very intimate little audience, but made it far less nerve-wracking!

Thanks again, Liz! And might I say that Chris and Jonny were MUCH taller than I thought they would be, Will MUCH thinner (and def. better lookin! :D) and GUY is soooo damned tiny! I just wanted to pick him up and put him in my pocket, cute little Scot that he is! hehehe

Not me personally, no. The contests were completely separate, even though we were in the same room. The girl from Capitol Records asked Jackie if we could do a pic, but she said after the interview. And then it was just Will left, so hence why it's just us and him. It was a very strange thing, but I'm just glad to have gotten to meet them. I never in a million years thought it'd ever happen to me.

Thanks! Yeah, he totally is. And yes, we met them all, but Will only stayed for the interview. When they walked in, though, they came over and shook our hands and gave the standard, "Hi, I'm.....nice to meet you"......then Chris started asking us about how we thought the crowd would be, since they'd not been there before. I told him we'd show them love and let them know they were appreciated. And we definitely did. He also asked what our sports teams were. And what state we were called (The Hawkeye State...."Like a hawk's eye?" :lol:) We told them about the Winefest, which he mentioned during the show and was brought up in the Register review. It was just general chatty sort of stuff, nothing earth shattering. It's gotta be just as awkward for them as it was for us, but they still made us feel very welcome and at ease. :D

So, here are my photos from the show, kidlets! Sorry it's taken so long to do a proper update, but I still can't really process it all. So, a rep from Capitol came and got us and we waited downstairs. And we waited. And finally Jackie (the lady with the afro) came and got us and took us into the friends and family room. And then in walks Guy. And then Chris. And then Jonny. Then Will. I'm sure my mouth fell open at that point :lol: I was so humbled by how humble they are. They are the most down-to-earth guys you'll ever want to meet and Will was such a gentleman during our interview. That review makes me embarrassed for Iowa and our journalists, with all its blatant mistakes. So, I apologise in retrospect for not updating during the show, but my head was still reeling from meeting them all and then interviewing Will beforehand. I will post a proper update in a little while when I wake up. And post some pics. Have to post the vid on Mon when I haz better connection. Be patient please!

Yeah, I almost found that out the hardway as well! They should have notified people a little better. And tonight's the big interview. I still dunno who it's gonna be, but I just hope I'm fully prepared for who it might be. Just trying not to throw up :lol:

I was just looking to see if any of them had ever been on Top Gear before and had to laugh so hard when I saw this cos it was one of the questions I was thinking about asking tomorrow night! :lol:

Yeah, it's also the smallest Coldplay gig I'll be seeing, too. And it usually seats about 14,000 when all the sections are opened up. My seat in the arena circle are the closest I've ever been to the stage. Which I was pretty jazzed about. It'll be amazing. XD

I'm just waiting for the gift shop to open up so I can buy the newspaper! whoo hoo! C'mon, 8 a.m.! :lol:

I would certainly take either sorts of questions. I'm just trying to steer away from the fangirly questions or obviously anything personal.

It's going to be a video interview, so there will be video up on the radio station site as soon as it's done. I'm not sure exactly how it's going to go down yet. I'm just worried about not looking like a fool right now! lol

Yeah, so I'm not sure where this goes exactly, but our local radio station here in Des Moines was hosting a contest to interview a member of the band, asking listeners to write essays on why they should be allowed the opportunity. Apparently, they liked my essay, so I won. Friday, I get to interview one of them. *big fangirly yay!*:dance: They don't know who yet, though, so I've got to come up with 4 times the questions and ask the appropriate ones. And act professional, as it's a video interview. :stunned: So, if anyone has any burning, serious questions, post em here....I need all the help I can get!

I really wish I would have come out that way for that show. I love Indy! XD

I'd kill to go! Sadly, I've just been over 3 times in the last 2 years and can't do it. But for those of you have never been to Wembley, just a little warning. The sound is CRAP. I know it's all about being there and the experience, but the stadium really isn't built for sound.

I'm not sure if anyone would be able to get a 'box' of them, being as they're being given away for free. And how many are we talking here? I would be willing to do what I could, if I knew they weren't going to be sold on eBay. It just sounds slightly shady to me is all.
