  1. DVD is NOT TO BE RELEASED! From the Oracle: "Awww that's very sweet of fans to care so much about a DVD but there are no plans to release one and in this case a petition can't change that decision... whether 714 signatures on it or 71400! That's very touching to see though and I'm sure it's not the only one in existence. " As Coldplay fans, we've made it PERFECTLY CLEAR that we wanted a "Viva La Vida" tour DVD. The Oracle heard. The moderator heard. The Webmaster heard. I'm sure Chris Martin and the fellas even heard about this. To come up with some kind of explanation or reason for this is nearly impossible without an explanation from the source - and by that, I mean COLDPLAY. Is this DVD a matter of life and death? Of course not. But there was hope. There was a demand. And not to make any accusations, it seems as though no one in control really cares about the demands from the fans. Now I'm sure we as fans would better understand the reason behind all this if we were given some sort of explanation or reason. Is Chris and the team too self-critical on their performance in front of the camera? Do they feel the live DVD somehow does not capture the true feel of the concert? Is it because they had audio problems in Barcelona? Is it because it rained at Wembley? The term "throw us a bone" is needed here. No, the Coldplay team are not "obligated" to give us any explanation. They are not "obligated" to release a live DVD after every tour. But when the fans put together petitions, and make noise on the issue, don't just say "aww that's touching" (Mr. Oracle), it makes us feel a bit unworthy. I can continue my life without a DVD. I'll continue watching my U2 360° Tour on blue-ray and sharing it with familly and friends. I was there at the Rose Bowl. The DVD came out before the tour even finished. I was a happy fan. I just wish I can one day share that special moment of seeing Coldplay live with someone in the comfort of my home on DVD. With complete respect and support, a Southern California loyal fan, Freddy Rivera twitter.com/freddyrivera facebook.com/freddyrivera
  2. I need your opinion on this... Comparing the volume of their recent shows (Viva La Vida tour) to the last tour (Twisted Logic tour), was it just me or were the Twisted Logic shows impressively louder? It could depend on the venue of course. But generally speaking, there was a massive difference. As soon as Life In Technicolor kicks in, it's obviously lower in volume than expected (personally) and lower than their previous tours. Did you notice this as well? Any reason why? Was it differend in your city? Maybe I was just expecting my heart to be pounded out of my chest by the bass like the first time I saw Coldplay. Maybe not...

  6. I first saw COLDPLAY in Chula Vista on the Twisted Logic Tour... it was beyond great... As for Vegas, the show is less than a month away now and still seems too far!! lol I myself am going from on day to the next, staying overnight on the strip somewhere. I checked the rates fo the MGM Grand Hotel. They're in the 200's a night. Not surprising for this hotel, but there are cheaper ones. Don't know where I'll be staying yet. Maybe hit up the casinos and rehab (if I work out for 5 hours every night til then), concert, then club after. I heard the show is not very long. Again, not surprising. But we'll be in Vegas. So much to do before and after. Anyone else, feel free to share your Vegas trip itinerary. Building the excitement!!! VIVA LAS VEGAS trip!!! VIVA LA VEGAS trip!

  14. Awesome show! Pure magic. Just me or are the shows always this short??? They never seem to be on the stage long enough... and 'Politik?' where did it go?
  15. MGM Grand Garden Arena I'm beyond excited for this show! Questions: Anyone been to this venue b4? Seems smaller than the rest of the arenas. Being from LA where we have Staples Center, The Forum (2 shows) how does this arena compare to others? Sound? Seating (thanks tigermilk).. Size? Tried to get tix for one of the 2 LA shows. But that was impossible. lol p.s. Please fill free to share your Vegas trip itinerary (especially if your coming from California)!!! As for me, got 2 tix, staying overnight, maybe go to Tao or Pure after the show...
