What song initially turned you onto Coldplay?
Mine was initially Don't Panic. However, it took me half a year to figure out that it was Coldplay. The first song which I KNEW was Coldplay and loved was High Speed. The first song I heard by Coldplay was Yellow and that made me detest them very much so. I figured there was nothing they could create that would appeal to me because that music video really bothered me and the song was so unsatisfying (at the time...I like it...kind of now). So yeah...when I first heard Don't Panic I was like "whoa thats a killer, dark, edgy song I really like the bass in it." Too bad it took me about 6 months later to find out it was Coldplay after my friend was playing the Parachutes album (this was back in 2001) and High Speed came on and then that was it. It was a match made in heaven from that point on. So what was yours?

I don't want to hear Fix You, Yellow, Trouble in concert anymore
I don't know about you guys but I'm tired of hearing Fix You, Yellow, Trouble, Clocks...et cetera. I just am tired of them...not because they are overplayed...ok maybe its because they're overplayed. But mainly they just seem so dead to me. I watched the Brixton (is that right?) performance the other night of Fix You and it looked so...dead. Like they don't have any soul into it. Thats the way it feels to me. I just want the new stuff no more old stuff.

Viva La Vida IGN Rating: 9.3

Apple and Coldplay...like two peas in a pod
Well after watching the iTunes commercial for VLV I couldn't help but come to the conclusion that I think Coldplay is the quintessential band for Apple...something about them screams Apple. Not to mention everytime I go into the Apple Store they are playing GPASUYF or Talk or any song for that matter...the point is I always seem to hear a Coldplay song playing in there. Then I thought...well I am an avid Mac user. I have the 13" Blackbook and I love it. Then, today at work my manager brought in his white macbook to burn my Viva cd (his wouldn't burn onto iTunes for some reason). Then I thought all the people I know who love Coldplay as much as I do have Mac's. Does anyone else see this? It just seems like hardcore Coldplay fans are usually hardcore Mac/Apple fans too...they seem to go hand in hand. Just a theory.

woah woah woah how the hell did you girls get clear plastic cd cases? I got the crappy environmentally-friendly paper one.- Billboard: SANTOGOLD to open North American tour
yeah thats garbage...I can't stand Santogold. Rilo Kiley was much better- Viva la Vida to be Top of Billboard Hot 100???!!!
Wow well congrats to them. Thats cool...Viva La Vida may become the NEW #1 requested song of all time (which is Clocks) on alternative rock radio stations. BUT what the hell is Santogold headlining for their NA tours for? Wow thats garbage!- Will is stellar in Viva La Vida
I don't know if you guys noticed this or not (I'm sure you have) but Will realllly outdoes himself in this album. I was extremely impressed at how he outdoes himself in every song. He really shown through as the top performer in my opinion....with Guy coming in really close second.- The One I Love from Live 2003
I'm not going to say this is the best Coldplay song...no way not even close. However, it is a very fun, fast-paced, up-beat rock song that I can't get enough of. It really gets my blood pumping and when I work out I play it over and over. I drive with the windows down and turn it up real loud when Chris breaks it down and the whole band just collaborates and makes a hell of a good rock song. However...it doesn't really sound Coldplay-ish but I wish they would've made this on one of their records...it sure beats Violet Hill as their "standard Oasis-sounding rock song" for the album. Anyone else agree? - PUT THE SONGS OF VLVODAAHF IN ORDER OF YOUR FAVORITE
