  4. bass clef - reeling skullways brackles - rinse presents brackles both are p great for the electronic crowd (i love the bass clef more)

  8. will listen to it don' worry :wink: btw, new shackleton box set is out there already. artwork looks incredible it contains: new shackleton album 'music for the quiet hour' and 3 new EPs (called drawbar organ eps) wish i had the money
  9. i havent even heard cinderella's eyes :megafail: (only heard the lead single iirc) but yeah, dancy pop with great tunes and all. her voice and delivery is p special though (it's charming imo)

  14. parrotdies's list is great a few key bands / artists to begin with in ~chronological order, from the 60s onwards: beatles beach boys kinks love bob dylan van morrison neil young velvet underground the who the rolling stones creedence led zeppelin black sabbath big star pink floyd king crimson (yes, genesis etc) iggy pop + stooges david bowie roxy music + brian eno ny dolls patti smith ramones the clash sex pistols wire talking heads elvis costello joy division replacements rem husker du minutemen the smiths u2 depeche mode jesus & mary chain galaxie 500 mbv pixies nirvana (+ all the grunge scene -- soundgarden, aic, etc) gbv pavement smashing pumpkins teenage fanclub britpop: oasis + blur + pulp + etc radiohead portishead flaming lips weezer the strokes the libertines the white stripes arcade fire drive by truckers etc omitted a lot of genres + essential bands (post rock, hardcore, metal, krautrock, etc) and of course, there's so much more than rock (jazz, blues, soul, funk, techno, etc) e: why did i even do this

  16. paco sala - ro-me-ro wonderful icy space downtempo thing with astoundingly sensual female vocals :blush: the middle section of the album in particular is spectacular

  19. Personal Space: Electronic Soul 1974 - 1984 this is by far the best thing i've heard this year. absolutely fantastic beyond compare.
  20. basically, the same difference between bad music and good music it doesnt really exist either you feel it or you don't, but there is no 'bad' or 'good' per se btw, climax give me the fucking chills

  23. yeah i heard it in full while laying sick in bed i did already know about half of the tracks from the eps and all, but still: fucking AWESOME. some tracks are out of this world, most notably on disc 2. i never realized i loved 'indian street slang' this much until i heard it on the album still, not sure i'll ever listen to this in full much. too fuckin huge :confused:
  24. + anticipating: shed, sun kil moon, that new hype williams alias thing, lone, etc but i love surprises
