Latin American Tour 2013 [CANCELLED - GENERAL DISCUSSION HERE]
The Grammys are February 10...maybe they just learned they'd be playing or it was whispered to them that they really should be there?

[31-Dec-2012] Coldplay @ Barclays Center, New York, NY, USA
Methinks there's a glitch with the ticket sale, not that it's all gone, so have patience guys and keep checking. EDIT: Yep, a glitch in the system, even the Platinum tix are saying 'Tickets Not Available Online". Hope it comes up for everyone soon!

I don't see ticket sales as slow - it's only pre-sale and the lower priced tix are going fast. It's only the $550 tix that are moving slow, but that is to be expected b/c who has the $550 (x2) to blow on a concert! And those who might may be trying to get for cheaper first.

[09-Feb-2013] Coldplay @ Estadio Unico de la Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina [CANCELLED]
I bought tickets and went in March/April 2011 for the U2 shows at this stadium in La Plata. You will have to navigate Spanish on the ticket buying site (I understand a lot of Spanish, but Google Translate also works well) - should be ticketek.com.ar, but out of all of the Latin American countries, Argentina seems to be the least hassle for foreigners to buy concert tickets for. For DNI use your passport number. Very likely you will not be able to have them mailed to you, but you will be able to pick them up in Buenos Aires at one of the Ticketek ticketing locations beforehand - for U2 there was no at-venue Will Call so keep that in mind. I picked mine up at a location in Barrio Palermo the day I arrived in Buenos Aires. Keep in mind that this stadium is in La Plata which is about 55-60 km from the city of Buenos Aires. However, for U2 they put on special buses from the main bus terminal in Buenos Aires to/from the show - worked quite well! Those tix will be available from the same ticketing site (if they are still doing that, which I think they would be), but probably not until a week or two before the show. I would advise just coming from Buenos Aires for the show, rather than staying in LaPlata. I'm sure a local can jump in here with anything else or if anything I said has changed since I did it.

I got a single ticket - didn't check for two so I don't know if any were up today in that price range.

[31-Dec-2012] Coldplay @ Barclays Center, New York, NY, USA
I totally missed the Citicard pre-sale yesterday! But I have been checking today - the $99.50 and up tix have been going in and out of availability all day, and I just snagged a $99.50 20 minutes ago! It is up there - Sec 222 row 17, but I don't think one can get too much better for this show at that price or cheaper. Gonna be a good NYE and birthday, just a few subway stops from home. :D

They allot only a certain portion of the total tickets for pre-sale - so while the pre-sale will (should) sell out (except maybe those $550 tix...), the entire show will not sell out on the pre-sale. The show will sell out VERY quickly (again, the $550 tix will sell slower...).

It won't be for $550, but I am so hoping to get a ticket - NYE at home in Brooklyn, and it's my birthday to boot, I am so there!

A friend of mine is coming to NJ for Friday's show but is ticketless - she needs just one. It has to be a lower/floor only though. You can post to me if you have one - [email protected]. Thanks!

[4-Mar-2012] Coldplay @ Amnesty International Presents: The Secret Policeman's Ball, New York, NY, U
Didn't know this was happening until I got the email from AMEX, I jumped right on it and got 1 cheapish ticket, waaaayyy up there in the 3rd Mezzanine but at least Row A in the 3rd Mezz! This was shortly after 11, so maybe people should keep trying? Should be a great night! :) PS: I am sure it won't be a full Coldplay set.

I am still waiting to hear too! Minimum age to get into any Letterman taping/show is 18, so unfortunately no.

2-Aug-2009: Coldplay Headlining All Points West Music & Arts Festival, New Jersey
Pallavi, was the song you didn't know when it was Chris only at the piano? If so that was Fight for Your Right (to Party) by the Beastie Boys, a get well soon to Adam Yauch and nod to them. I did get that on video but that will have to wait til tomorrow night. Great set from the band - exactly a year to the day since I last saw them in Hartford, the show is much tighter and Chris' voice much stronger now. :) And I'm beat slogging through the mud, so off to bed...

Sorry you got a weird guy next to you! I would've been uncomfortable too, although I was so tired I might not have cared! I always fear getting somebody weird or annoying when I take these buses, fortunately I had a window seat and got a normal, quiet petite gal who was also at the show next to me. No, they are not always like that...generally they either have another bus on standby or make you wait for the next one but I guess since it was the last of the night and there was no staff at the bus station at all that the driver let them get on, I think most drivers wouldn't. Probably wasn't the normal amount of people either for that bus, probably was the combo of a big-name show that was months before a NYC show, and it being a Saturday night, that generated all the people coming up! yayitsbrian, the first opener's name was Amanda Kaletsky...while I didn't hate Santogold that much, Amanda was much more enjoyable!

I can't believe they let like 15-20 standing people on, I have never seen that before on a Greyhound/Peter Pan bus - I probably would've gotten a room or bid my time until morning rather than stand 2+ hours! I did not notice teddy bear guy at all...was he upfront? I got a seat against the lavatory wall and promptly fell asleep until we were back in midtown - I got really hot and sweaty wandering downtown Hartford for two hours before the show and was so exhausted.

Hello, everyone. :) I came up for the show last night from New York, I wasn't the only one - there were at least 15 (probably closer to 20) on the 12:30AM bus back to New York last night who were at the show and some of them were on the same bus as I going up too. Had a great time at the show last night...I thought the setlist was just fine, although I think they still need to work out a few kinks on the transitions. I liked that they dispersed the new with the old throughout the set instead of frontloading the new ones. Took a couple of videos, sound is not great but not bad considering it was loud. :) 42: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGhmik_DfOY Strawberry Swing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PS_-ygVahKY Enjoy!
