I agree! He definitely wasn't stroppy! A little nervous perhaps but the crowd wasn't exactly receptive, I was going nuts all on my own in the nose bleed seats to the left of the stage, I had a fantastic view but I still would have rather been standing at the front getting jostled with all of the other hard core fans! I was really disappointed that everyone didn't give them the reception that hey deserved, especially the mobile phone glow sticks that they've seen all over the rest of the world. Although from what I've heard & read, Roadie #42's blog for instance, the following 2 nights were much better. I'm gonna see them again at the O2 on December 14th so I'm just hoping to be a part of a more rapturous crowd then!

Pu my name down! I'm up for the waiting list idea, if I still go on Saturday, I'm thinking of buying tickets for Friday instead now & perhaps selling my Saturday tickets. Better still - I might go to both!!! :laugh3: That would be awesome!

[The Sun] Girls Aloud to play Wembley with Coldplay? [2009]
:laugh3: Brilliant! Very funny! This just proves the point that music does not need to be categorised, labelled or put in boxes!!!

[The Sun] Girls Aloud to play Wembley with Coldplay? [2009]
Are Girls Aloud & Jay Z BOTH performing on Friday AND Saturday What I want to know is are Girls Aloud & Jay Z both playing Friday & Saturday or is just GA Friday & Jay Z Saturday? As for the choice of artists to support & colaborate I think that it's a case of each to thier own! I'm not a fan of Jay Z or GA but I'm not paying to go & see them! I'm perfectly happy to go along & experience the performances with an open mind. Music shouldn't be categorised or put in boxes. I have musical tastes that are eclectic to the extreme & I don't see why any one should judge my tastes just beacuse I do or do not like a particular artist. In just the same way why should any of you Judge Chris Martin & Coldplay just because they've collaberated with Kylie or have asked Jay Z & Girls Aloud to support them!?!??!? It's thier choice! I went to see Duffy in the summer & she was supported by Duke Special, I was thinking WTF! Who is Duke Special? Turned out he was a brilliant Irish singer/song writer who was an accomplished pianist. He performed a very entertaining set with a couple of other very talented musicians & so I went out & bought his album. DON'T FORGET........ wave your mobile phone or a glow stick during the VLV re-mix at all the UK gigs!!! I'm gonna do it at the O2 December 14th!!! Read Roadie #42's blogs for more info.

14-Dec-08 - London, O2 Arena - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos
Count me in for a meet up, before or after. Don't know where we're sitting as we haven't got our tickets yet. After would probably be best if not every one has to rush off, I'm sure we could find a bar or go back to some one's hotel as the hotels will always have a late bar open! My wife & I are staying in the Docklands Ramada which can't be too far from the O2. I think that we should organise to have proper glow sticks & use them during the VLV remix like they did with mobile phones in Paris, if we all bought a few extra we could also hand them out to people around us & tell them what to do too. They only cost about £2 for four from fishing tackle or party shops. Wilkinsons also sell them. Have a look at my other threads about this, let's spread the word & get as many people as possble doing this! Remeber everyone........ Wave your mobile phone like a Glow Stick or better still bring real GLow Sticks to wave during the VLV remix. The French did it & so did loads of American audiences! Lets show the lads what we can do for them in their home country!!! See Roadie #42's blog for more details!

Who was the dancing roadie?
Did anyone else see the dancing roadie to the left of the stage before Coldplay began last night, Dec 1st, at Birmingham??? He was quite a mover! Fabulous pre-show entertainment! Better than the support acts! :laugh3: WHO WAS HE? (Could it have been Roadie #42?) DON'T FORGET........ wave your mobile phone or a glow stick during the VLV re-mix at all the UK gigs!!! I'm gonna do it at the O2 December 14th!!! Read Roadie #42's blogs for more info.

I don't know about football but I'm a huge rugby fan & the atmosphere at Twickenham is always fantastic - especially when all the England fans sing SWING LOW together, and whether we are winning or losing!!! :laugh3: That's exactly the feeling of being a part of somthing that I'm talking about! C'mon ENGLAND, wave ya' mobile phone glow sticks..... Let's show the French that we can do it too! PS We like you too..... even for Rugby! That's the fantastic thing about Rugby the fans can always socialise & have a few beers together before & after a match, Win or Lose!

Wave your mobile phone glow sticks! Hello all, Went to B'ham show last night, 1st December, ABSO BLOOMIN LUTELY FLIPPIN AWESOME!!!! :D One thing dissapointed me was that entire crowd wasn't as 'up 4 it' as I had hoped so that atmosphere wasn't as good as I expected, :( (don't get me wrong it was FANTASTIC but I'm sure that it could have been better.) Really big dissapointment was that there were very few mobile phone glow sticks during VLV remix when lads were coming back from acoustic set where Will sings Death Will Never Conquer on stage at the back of the arena. They even put footage on the Magic Balls of one of previous shows, (Paris?) where whole crowd did it but very few people in B'ham took the hint. I was sooooo looking forward to seing, experiencing & being a part of something like that! If you have read Roadie #42's Blog you know that the band & crew love it!!! Why else would they put it on the Magic Balls??? C'mon Coldplayers let's start a campaign to make the UK gigs as awsome for the lads as the rest of the world was - in actual fact scrap that LETS MAKE THE UK GIGS EVEN BETTER THAN THE REST OF THE WORLD!!! This is their home country for goodness sake! We took proper Glow Sticks & a few others in the crowd had done the same, (only £2 for 4 from Wilkinson - also available from fishing tackle or party shops.) I suggest that we all take a few packets of proper Glow Sticks & dish them out to people around us B4 gig & tell them what to do. If a few of us do it & spread the word I'm sure we can make the rest of the gigs even more awesome!!! At the very least we need to spread the word about waving our mobile phones. I'm gonna be at the O2 on Dec 14th & this is exactly what I intend to do! C'MON COLDPLAYERS JOIN THE UK VIVA LA VIVA REMIX WAVE 'YA GLOWSTICK CAMPAIGN!!! Thanx!

I don't think that anyone who is waiting for tickets needs to be worried, I bought mine through a very reputable online travel firm with hotel accomodation as a package. I've used this firm many times before so I trust them & they told me not to expect the tickets until 10 to 14 days before the gig so I'm not worried.
