The song Politik is one of my absolute fave coldplay songs and I have been wondering this for quite some time. Does anyone know why the band decided to spell Politik with a "K"? That's not how it's normally spelt in English, is it? :kiss:

Could anyone help me sorting this out! I thought coldplay/chris hade written or co-written three of the tracks on Natalie's new album, "Fun", "Lukas" and "Want". But I've also heard that the track "Scars" is written by Chris... :confused: And which of them is "the best track ever written by coldpaly" according to Chris? I thought he meant "Fun" but now i've also heard he talked about "Scars"!!! I'm really confused now :thinking:

Hi Katie! About your question: The Joe Satriani song is called "If I could fly" and the Coldplay song that is a little similar is Viva la Vida. But Coldplay haven’t covered Satriani's song and they have definitely not made a remix of it! The melodies just happen to be a little similar in some places but that happens, I mean people have been writing music on this planet for ages, then thinking you have written a completely new melody would be stupid! Just look at how it went for Satriani: Cat Stevens claimed HE had written to song before Satriani! :P Listen to Coldplay’s “Viva la Vida”, Satriani’s “If I could fly” and Cat Stevens’ “Foreigner suite”, they are all kind of similar, but who cares? Viva la Vida is the bets one anyway!!! :cool:
