  1. amen to that! i have been reading all these posts & catching up on all the info since i was away from the thread for the past day or two, so i really appreciate all the details everyone has been posting thus far. i agree, this is COLDPLAY, my favourite band in the entire world!!!! i would go see them play anywhere! regardless of sound or seats or whatever. i just am thankful they are still touring and still playing for us as passionately as ever. i am praying for gen admission floors, but will take what i can get. it's good they have a few different kinds of presales to for people to access, and although the argos thing did seem a little absurd in the beginning, it is still technically a good deal (for someone who has paid nearly $300 for floor tickets in the past...using stubhub/ebay). plus, i understand about the argos having to move their game date and it was good of them to do so for coldplay, so the deal makes sense from that end. i wish there was a bit more info for the other presales, like radio & such...does anyone have a link for the globe & mail presale? also, did anyone ever finalize ticketrush details after all? wondering if they're still doing a presale, yet they seem pretty unreliable at the same time. hmm what other questions did i have...even though there are so many details & things are now better confirmed, i still feel a bit confused! i guess i am just worried. i'll be at my desk intently tomorrow (i work at st. mike's hospital as a dept. secretary), watching & waiting until the time comes. i also have friends in montreal coming down for the show who will be trying as well. all i care about in the end is getting tickets, preferrably gen adm floors!!! good luck everyone. i, too, hope you all end up with decent tickets in the end. thanks again for the help!!
  2. i just want some sense of confirmation that this is even a go-ahead! like, ease our worries here man! especially with respect to presale details. whatever...just, anything would be nice. i need to know this is forsure! it's amazing, this is the first time since 2001 that i've encountered any issues surrounding coldplay ticket sales or show details. i guess we'll just have to be patient but i feel like things have been up in the air for weeks now! i can't believe it's not even on the rogers ctr site. errrrrrg.
  3. dude, i completely agree! like, how much more indefinite and uncertain can you get?!
  4. i have total faith in the coldplay sound technicians! hopefully they can work their magic :) as for presales, i can see your point. what would be best is if they didn't exist at all, that way more people would have equal access to better tickets overall, as a general rule. you are right about them being unfair. also - YES! IT'S SKYDOME! jerks. damn corporatism. i still call it the dome :) again, sacreligious. good call though, it holds tons so regardless there will be more people to enjoy the show! all i care about is getting good seats! it makes sense presales are still under scrutiny as for moral/legal technicalities. since not coming directly from the artist DOES make it unfair.
  5. i agree, coldplay at the amphitheatre would've been a MUCH better choice! they so have to play there again...will never in my entire life forget june 11, 2003, one of the greatest coldplay shows to date!!!!!! anyhoo...back on track here. ok, so rogers ctr, july 30, tickets on sale march 9. would that be general public onsale march 9? or presale march 9? unclear...hopefully if it is the general public onsale date then there will be a presale prior to that. AND hopefully the ticketrush site will be back up and running by that time. gaaaaah! stress! i have no doubt coldplay will completely electrify the dome, as they do anywhere they play. however it is sacreligious that they have been booked to play somewhere with such shitty acoustics. ohhhh i just thought of something, i know people who work at the hard rock cafe there (used to work there myself)...wondering about connections. probably none :P... i also am hoping that, in the case of the presale, the ticket choice is not sub-par. i have experienced presales for shows before that only offered shitty tickets. dilemma. i think being that it is a PRE-sale, it should be a principle that the better tickets are offered there first. i don't know...i mean they obviously won't ALL be snatched up by those with presale passwords, but, just...it has been so hard to get decent tickets for their shows over the past few years what with their ever-growing popularity - which, don't get me wrong, is amazing for them - but gone are the days when you used to be able to actually access the general onsale and end up with great tickets as a result. now every show is virtually sold out in 30 seconds! ah well. such is life i guess. wow i am on a rant here it seems! LOL i just miss the days when i could get wristbands for floor at their shows so easily. now it is like pulling teeth! i've resorted to paying huge $$ online for gen admission/floor seats. well if anyone has any more info about the presale it would be greatly appreciated! thanks! :) ~amy
  6. ok...so now both the date and venue have been changed? july 30 instead of 29 and rogers ctr instead of amphitheatre?? i was soooo excited for it to potentially be at the amphitheatre because their show there in 2003 was absolutely unforgettable! rogers centre sucks but i guess we should be happy they are even coming at all! though toronto is CLEARLY their favourite place to play!!! just wish it was a better venue...i mean, we've really had enough of the ACC in the past few years but rogers centre is no improvement. oh well! so, is there any official announcement for when tickets officially go on sale? was the TO presale today or is it postponed again? thx in advance for any help. ~amy
  7. thank you mikemoe!!! awesome, you're going to SD...if only my uncle still lived there i'd go too :P damn i'd love to do a huge roadtrip for this tour. i have a car i always use for long distance concert trips and coldplay is one i have yet to go super far for, even though i've seen them several times. i'd love to go to the boston show! this postponement of the ticket on-sale date is a blessing for me because i'll be able to get a bit more money back on my credit card...still some remaining christmas charges on there!:shocked2: anyway thanks again. everything's not lost indeed. hopefully the presale situation comes through for us canucks! ~amy
  8. ok, so then the toronto show details are all up in the air now? i have been religiously keeping up to date with the newsletter and coldplay.com but the information keeps getting changed so frequently it's hard to know what is the latest true info! venue-wise. i hope it ends up at the amphitheatre because i saw them there in 2003 for rush of blood and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. gen. admission floor is the best for that venue and i really hope they don't end up going back to the acc since they always end up there :P so tickets are now pushed back to being on sale on 27 february? can someone post when they know more details about a toronto presale? thanks for all the help clarifying things guys. i have been a diehard fan since 2001 but have only recently joined coldplaying.com forums and realize now i should've been here long ago! this is a great place for true fans helping fans :) ~amy
  9. so no luck for any toronto presales then? general on-sale starts tomorrow for toronto...
