i think it's hard to just look at individual lyrics and critique them since a lot of it is in the context of the song so while the pieces of the song might not be poetry, overall the songs are. that being said, i realize this might be a bit hypocritical because of what i just said, but every time i hear the line from glass of water that says 'cling to the mast, spend your whole life living in the past' i get sort of annoyed because i don't think living in the past is necessarily the best advice. i don't know, i might be misinterpreting what he is saying, but shouldn't we be urged to live in the present?

i love the ending of politik and it gives me goosebumps every single time i listen to it. i'm not sure if it's the lyrics, or the piano playing, but something about it makes me want to cry each time i listen to it. give me love over, love over, love over, thisssss ahhhhhhhh also, i LOVE amsterdam, all of the quotes previously listed, as well as in my place and the scientist. i also love yes and i think gravity is one of the most beautiful songs ever written. it's really just hard for me to decide. i love coldplay.
