  1. My husband and I are seriously pondering going to Brazil to the Rio De Janeiro and Sao Paulo concerts. We would make a vacation out of the trip. It's a 14 hour flight down there ! I certainly hope Tampa gets re-scheduled before we make any plans. I think I would wish only have to travel 5 or 6 hours rather than 14. Brazil might be fun, though. I hear that the beaches are beautiful...
  2. I am probably deluding myself, but I really hope Coldplay tries to squeeze in a date in Tampa. Not crazy about going to a huge stadium in a foreign country... Hopefully, they will schedule other dates and Tampa will be one of them. :)
  3. Interesting... I've been wondering about the significance of "42". I'm not a "LOST" fan, either, so thanks for explaining! Maybe I'll have to check it out...
  4. I have to admit that I'm kind of a Desparate Housewives junkie. :) I admit that it's pretty shallow, but I guess it's one of my guilty pleasures! I, too, enjoy the whole Chris / Gwyneth story. I hate that the tabloids periodically run articles about them saying that they are breaking up. They seem pretty happy to me. A friend of mine recently saw a Gwyneth interview. My friend said she looked really happy. I think I may have seen her at the concert in Washington. Just before Coldplay came on, I saw a tall, blond woman being escorted off the stage. That's the closest I've ever gotten to her! Who knows, it might not have been her, but it's kind of fun to think it might have been!
  5. Many thanks for the warning! I ALMOST clicked on it, then decided I had better find out a little more about it. It really irritates me that some people take advantage of (in our case) Coldplayers' interest in finding out more about the cancellation. Creep! Do you suppose the poster, TyM218, is the perpetrator? I usually am pretty careful about the links I click. I have gotten kind of complacent lately, and haven't been as careful. Thanks for the reminder!
  6. I'm very curious... How did you find this? I don't see any links to it from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viva_la_Vida_Tour.
  7. What is at that link? I'm curious but afraid to go to it... On another subject, how do I email Anchorman? I sent my previous email to [email protected].
  8. I did it - I sent them an email... Dear Members of Coldplay, I am one of several thousand fans that was extremely disappointed that you were forced to cancel the Tampa show on the Viva La Vida Tour. My husband and I flew from California to see you in Tampa before we found out about the cancellation. We had already seen you a few times, but wanted to see one more show before you left the U.S. I, as well as other fans that had tickets for the Tampa show, would love for you to return to Tampa for one last show. If you find it is not practical, we would appreciate a statement from the band stating that fact. The only communication we have had regarding the cancellation is an email from Live Nation indicating that the money for our tickets was refunded. Thank you for your consideration. I hope you return to the U.S. soon.
  9. I am having Coldplay withdrawals! I am very sad I didn't see them in Tampa. I am kind of upset that we haven't heard anything from Colplay about the Tampa cancellation. I think I will email them! I sent an email a month or so ago, but I think it's time for another one!
  10. Tracey, how do I search for you on Facebook. I would love to look at your photos. Thanks!
  11. http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=54397&page=149 It's the third or fourth post.
  12. Hear, hear... Drives me crazy when musicians get too political... Hope you had a happy birthday, Dianne!
  13. I wish I was there, too! It is sad that the tour is almost over. I can't think of a musician's tour in the past that has had such an impact on my life. I used to go to a concert, enjoy myself, and that was it, done. I guess maybe the Internet has changed how we view things. Now, we can see where the band are going, and get up-to-the date information about what they are doing. In some ways, it's exciting; in other ways, it causes kind of a let-down when it's over. :(
  14. Dianne, I agree wholeheartedly. My husband and I discussed going to Dublin or Nijmegen (spelling?), but we were hoping the show in Tampa would be rescheduled. We spent quite a bit of money flying to Tampa, and weren't sure we could afford to go to Europe. But, if we had known the show would be cancelled, we might have tried a little harder to get to one of those shows. I am also disappointed that there has been no official word from the band, especially after the assurances that it would be rescheduled. -Sigh-
  15. I tend to agree. I'm hoping you are wrong, also, but I think this tour will be done after this coming weekend at Wembley. I'm trying not to be too depressed about it... I saw them four times - I would have loved to have seen them one more time! Tracey, I hope you have a wonderful time at Wembley! I can't pretend I'm not a little jealous! I can't wait to hear about the experience.
  16. Agreed. It's one of my favorite tracks, too... Somehow, other versions just don't come close to the original, as you said.
  17. Hi Stafish42 - I'm sort of a neophyte when it comes to this social networking - I actually haven't been to YouTube. :) Anyway, I will go take a look. Yes, we went to the concert in Sacramento. It was the 2nd concert of our "Coldplay Tour" that we went on this summer (three concerts). It was fabulous! I think it was the best vacation I have ever had! The concerts were so much fun. As I recall, it was such a nice night in Sacramento - after the sun went down. We had seats with a good view, but they were pretty far back. It was a fabulous night!
