  1. Not a bit, I was guarding my spot like hawk as I had a good view from Johnny to Chris's piano, your head was in the gap between the piano and Guy! Most of the back of head shots were taken trying to keep up with Mr Martin on that side of the stage and failing!! (I'm hoping to get a digital camera for Christmas so next time I want to film something it doesn't come out so blurry!)
  2. Yes you are! Hurray. Thank you very much for sharing them, and I'm sorry if my coats behind you got in the way or if I at any time nudged you with my awkward but decently sized handbag! (I took some very good dark photos of the back of your head with my rubbish disposable camera if you're interested!! :laugh3:)
  3. The line in the Exeter Echo that got me laughing was 'Fans didn't seem to mind that it had started to rain afterwards' - that's probably because it hadn't!:laugh3: Unless you count the 30 seconds it drizzled just before they let us in! PS meant to ask, where did the queue apology Maltesers come from and did anyone actually take one?
  4. Oh what a nice response, thanks guys! :smug:
  5. Hehehe, My hat's famous! :smug: http://3303.e-printphoto.co.uk/peh/index.cfm?z=z&action=view&c_id=108283&p_id=13802524 that's me in the pink woolly hat at the corner of the building!:laugh3: Also, if anyone's bought the Echo, the blonde hair, pink scarf and black t-shirt in the photo 'Festive feel' in the middle page is me too, the bloke behind with the brown t-shirt and stubbly beard is my brother. :D - Oh god, picture of me is a centrefold, worrying!
  6. I think we're all confusing the Plymouth Herald/Exeter Echo offices - I just rang the previous issues department (via http://www.thisisexeter.co.uk - contact us) asking if they know where I can get a copy and she said she had some to collect from the Derriford HQ, handy, as I work at the hospital up the hill! But said 'ooh, lots of people have rung wanting the Echo today, very strange' then I explained. I think sales will go up by quite a bit today :)
  7. BTW, is anyone else local to Devon here? I will try somehow to see if I can get an Exeter Echo tomorrow morning. I think some of the larger supermarkets here have them :)
  8. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=130515&id=504653595&l=a5c9ce1425 Here's my complete album - bit blurry but you get the general idea!
  9. Hello I've already posted a bit on the Exeter Castle thread but thought I'd introduce myself. I live in Plymouth so yesterday it was only a quick trip up the road :) I've been a Coldplay fan since Parachutes but became a bigger fan with Rush of Blood to the Head and X&Y. I've only been to see them twice, both within the last few months (Wembley 19th September, and last night - bizarrely, last night's ticket was cheaper!!) Not for the want of trying, I've either been out of the country or oblivious when tickets have gone on sale previously. Thank goodness for places like this and Twitter, both responsible for the 2 concerts I've got to see now. Favourite song is The Scientist (hence username) as rather long, boring story but put basically it decided to play itself on the radio at just the right time at a very significant time in my life and I've loved it and the band even more ever since. What else, I work in the local hospital as a Medical Secretary and my other passion in life is F1 racing.. that's pretty much all you need to know for now. Look forward to speaking to all of you!
  10. Great photos Karen, you can't have been too far away from me, you've managed to take the photos I wanted to take and somehow failed in doing so. Lovely
  11. Sorry, I've left a rather rambly message on the Scientist vid, my phone ran out of batteries after 'kingdom come' and had to rely on rubbish disposable camera, so pleased someone kept going til the end! Cheers! I've got the disposable ones back but a) the flash isn't great so they're probably too dark (going to see what I can do with photoshop in terms of making image better) and b) 1 hour processing staff at Morrisons completely mucked up and they're going to have to be redone as half of the photos themselves have been cut in completely the wrong place, the photo index doesn't represent what they've given me and only 9 out of about 28 are actually fine. All that for £5 - will have words with Customer Services tomorrow I think. (thankfully the negatives are fine and not sliced in half too!) The photo and vid I've posted are definitely the best ones I took, glad others thought to bring more superior cameras!
  12. This is the best of the mobile phone photos - off to christmas shop and get the disposable camera developed with 27 more! :)
  13. 'How loud are we going to be tonight?' Glad they work, will put links up to more later, I do actually have to brave the cold and do christmas shopping but I'll put more on when I can! I love the idea that the show was supposed to be acoustic - someone should've told La Roux that!! (as my brother said, does anyone else think she danced how speed ice skaters race?) She was very sweet, had to agree with her, I thought it would be cold in there and it wasn't - yup, the girl who had to stand with all the coats between her knees? That was me. I also like the idea that the Tiverton Brass Band members can go to work tomorrow and when asked 'What did you do on Saturday' can shrug nonchalantly and say 'Oh, nothing much, just filled in for Lily Allen, warming up for Coldplay, you know, the usual...'
  14. Right, have uploaded a couple of vids to Facebook so I'm going to see if I can link to them here, if not, I'll try my hand at youtube :) Here goes nothing. http://www.facebook.com/v/209282933595 This is the best of my videos, In My Place. The rest came out ok but as were on mobile phone some were filmed unthinkingly portrait not landscape on my phone so are sideways on the computer, still OK though. Sinking in now that that was real, my feet are still sore but my ears have stopped going 'eeeeeeeeeee' and I keep looking at the plectrum to check it's still there! (Karen, were you the girl who fell over fighting for the drumstick at the end with the tall lad? Whoever that was, you go girl but I hope you're Ok! Also, if the girl with short brown hair in the 3rd row back to the left of the stage who was taking photos with a proper big camera is on here, I would love copies of some of your photos because I was literally right behind you!!)
  15. Short post, much longer post to follow in the morning. Have taken lots of video which I hope to upload to youtube/facebook/whatever works tomorrow. Was stood to left of the stage as you look at it about 4 rows back:cool:. Can't actually process what happened this evening as being real at all at the moment. Beautiful venue, lovely music, fantastic evening. Not as cold inside the venue as I'd feared at all. Went with my brother, stayed behind afterwards and one of the roadies gave me a couple of black plectrums with 'Vida la vida' written on them, then we met Jo Whiley - had no pen nor battery left on mobile nor film left in disposable camera so just told her absolutely loved the event, then my brother got her to speak on the phone to his fiancee :laugh3: as their parents live a few streets away from one another. Blissful, my favourite 2 songs more for sentimentality reasons than anything else are The Scientist and Til Kingdom Come, they played both. I was at the back at the top of the stadium at the last of the September gigs and they didn't sing the latter then, they did this time and I nearly cried. Best £50 I've ever ever spent. It's 1.40 am and I've got to go to bed though I'm still bouncing off the walls!!
