  1. Academy loves Clint Eastwood so my guess is that Morgan Freeman wins for his Mandela (instead of Jeff Bridges).
  2. Me and my two friends wrote down our guesses just today at school! :) We'll have to watch the Oscars from 1 am to about 7 am here because of the damn time zones, and go to school the next day, but it's definitely worth it. I just did it with the Globes too. It only sucks because last two years our winter holiday has started on Monday following the Oscars, but they didn't quite coordinate this time. :( BTW, I really hope Avatar won't win because it wasn't even nominated in the script category. And writing and editing should go to Inglorious Basterds, because they're both brilliant. I'd love to see Quentin win this! And it would be a real shocker if Christoph Waltz didn't win the supporting Oscar for Basterds because he's already won everything else (and by everything I mean SAG, Globe and Cannes). And his character was awesome in a weird, twisted way. I mean awesomely played. The Jew-killing wasn't awesome. You know.
  3. Just nominated. It just sucks that Avatar is also up for the art direction (of course), and I'd love for Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus win it too... Well, we'll see. And for the music, I think Sherlock has some serious chances because the music was awesome.
  4. The film is okay. Seriously, as I consider watching movies as my hobby and I've seen quite a few different films, I'd give it probably... 3 stars out of 5. All together, as a movie. But personally I had quite low expectations and I was positively surprised. And if you like a little bit of action or witty comedy, you'll at least find it very entertaining, I think. And RDJ is fantastic. I'd say go see the film just to see his acting! :D
  5. Ok. You guys need to see this. So, last Friday I went to our local movie theater (okay, almost local) and I asked for this Sherlock Holmes ad they had. It cost me 5 €, and that's not much at all, but here it is, in our house: Isn't it awesome? Although it's huge, like two meters high, and mom doesn't love it too much... :D
  6. I was just at the gym and while I was doing some leg exercises I read this Finnish magazine with a one-page story and picture of our beloved RDJ. So, naturally, I had to rip the page and kinda, uhm, steal it. But it's not that bad. Right? (It's a damn good pic by the way.)
  7. Ooh yes, I love Jude Law. And though I've loved him for ages I only discovered he really could act two weeks ago when I saw Dr. Parnassus. Although I haven't seen Cold Mountain yet, but I think he's good in it.
  8. 1. The Scientist 2. Death and All His Friends 3. Clocks 4. Life in Technicolor 5. Trouble 6. The Escapist 7. Yellow 8. The Hardest Part 9. Strawberry Swing 10. Fix You 11. Death Will Never Conquer 35. Now My Feet Won’t Touch the Ground 36. Daylight 37. A Whisper Gee, that was difficult!
  9. I think I read somewhere that it could be out already in the beginning of next year or something. So it's not that long time to wait... hopefully. When we have Iron Man 2 soon also. :)
  10. I'm sure they will, because of the ticket sales and the ending of the film. It's clearly designed to have a second part with Professor Moriarty and all... So more RDJ for us! :D
  11. Oh, I never get dreams like that! Maybe tonight, though, because I just saw the film? It was surprisingly good, by the way, because the only other film I've seen from Guy Ritchie is Swept Away which was horrible. But RDJ... <3 No wonder he won the Globe, he was brilliant. I loved his expressions and the accent was good and... Well, without RDJ it wouldn't have been half as good.
  12. Ha, here again... So: Sherlock Holmes: 7/10 Way better than I expected! Though I might be biased...
  13. The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus: 8/10 It was great but I think I'll need a second watch to get it completely...

  18. Wow, I'm new here (first post) and I didn't know where to start, but this is perfect... None of my friends really are Coldplay fans and only one really like RDJ so it's great to know I'm not the only one in the world. :) So, I live in Finland and I've been waiting for Sherlock Holmes from when the first trailer came out, what was it, in June? And I thought I'd go see it at Christmas but it's actually released here tomorrow. I've got my tickets and I'm so excited! Oh, and the Golden Globes were great... I stayed up all night to see the thing, damn Americans and their time zones! But he won! :D It was totally worth all the tiredness at school the next day. :)
