Hey coldplayers I recently finished a music video for coldplay's song Don Quixote. They never recorded a studio version which i was hoping for on their new cd. I love the live version and put images that came into my head to a music video. hello, i recently came back from a trip around the world and combined a lot of the film i took during my travels with coldplays song life in technicolor (instrumental) as it seemed to fit the video. i hope you enjoy watching as much as i did creating it! thanks so much. I was thinking about adding in video clips of the band to make it look like they were walking around looking at christmas lights haha :D

yeshe - i filmed this mostly in rochester, minnesota but there were some other smaller towns I was at as well!

thanks for the kind words everyone, I would have loved to film our city center or have a street filled with christmas lights but unfortunately my town has nothing like that :( I had to film individual houses instead. many good things were unexpected like running into the santa which made for a more interesting video :) Bonus_mosher - Yes! it was completely filmed on a Canon 7D using a 28-135 mm lens. I am still figuring out how to use it but it's great for everyday filming.. although I would like to upgrade to a 5Dmkii once I have the funds to do so (or wait it out for the 5D mk iii)

Hi guys - A few days ago I put together some shots taken from my camera. coldplay thank you so much everyone for the comments and feedback, we really appreciate it much of the video was shot in minnesota and parts of canada when I visited there. the longer video deals with coming home during winter...during my senior year at highschool viva la vida came out and we listened to that all summer I remember. so LIT seemed like a good song to have a theme of coming back home and enjoying the passing moments, whether in a car or sledding - a snapshot of growing up. We may wait to shoot some images of spring and summer here as well and include them in the larger video. i will update again when the full film comes out! once again thank you :cool:

hey all, I am new to this forum but have visited this site many times. I am a college student and for a school project me and a friend are putting together a short film/musical film using Life in Technicolor by coldplay. when we heard this song originally it reminded us of winter/christmas and we are trying to get that theme across in our video entitled Winter In Technicolor. While we are not done with the full film we have to submit a preview of it and our class is rating the previews .
