Anyone want to celebrate the release of Parachutes by watching one of their early gig together?
Basically thinking it could be cool to watch an early gig from 20 years ago together and chat about it as it goes - like a Coldplay watch party thing ? Happy to organise this in the next few days - maybe Sunday? - if anyone would be interested? (Posting this in a couple of places around the forum as I'm not sure where the best place would be!)

Flawed idea. You can love a band's music without knowing anything about the band. And besides, if you're booking something on the internet, you can look up the answer anyway... It might add a step, but touts would get around it.

I think it's better in the sense that only fans would be able to get in. Shall we agree: presale > door sale > classic online sellers?

Presale for fans might be the idea. Better than the shit ticketwebs offered this time anyway.

It's not a question of not playing small shows, because that has a totally different vibe to the larger ones. It is a question of making the tickets available in a way that is a fair. Particularly for small shows, in a way that rewards the fans who want that intimate vibe. Muse played a gig at the electric ballroom in Camden recently. Tickets sold at the door. Sure you had to cue, but no tout could benefit. Maybe Coldplay should have done this?
