  1. I'm rather happy with the length of the seasons. I mean, I'm behind enough as it is. If they had, say, 22 episode seasons as shows like Glee and Supernatural do, I'd have barely finished the first season at this point.
  2. Me too. It was horrible and beautiful and everything I hoped would never happen yet everything that probably had to happen all at the same time.
  3. I just saw Doomsday for the first time. I'm feeling terribly miserable about it.
  4. Does anybody have a one-shot for me to read? I love chaptered fics and all, but sometimes I really prefer my fic in small doses. I will review if I get around to reading, so that's definitely an incentive for you to show me them. I don't care if you wrote the fic or if it's your favorite fic you ever read in this fandom (Which I'd also love to read, by the way. What's the cream of the crop 'round here? Any length.). I'm just too lazy to go searching for fic myself so I'm trying to make you guys do it for me. *is mildly ashamed of herself* And I have a feeling you'll do it because if you're anything like me, you treasure reviews like Voldemort treasures not dying (I wouldn't say he treasures life...).
  5. Guess whaaaaat! I am now the proud owner of A Rush of Blood to the Head! Yay! About time, eh?
  6. I agree. Rather epic, in fact. P.S. I've totally started writing my Harry Potter/Coldplay crossover. BE SCARED! BE VERY SCARED! It could turn out really bad, but what I have is pretty good. Not my best, but I like it.
  7. Thanks a million. You guys really are quite sweet. I haven't yet written anything, but my ideas are starting to fall into place, which is good. I think it will be a wartime fic.
  8. How about when almost every video in the "Recommended for You" section of Youtube is Coldplay related. Because that's really all I use my account for.
  9. Thanks. I'll definitely keep those in mind. Anybody else have some thoughts about characterizing them? Because it will really help for this fic.
  10. I'll feel awkward and a tad rude just ignoring the occasion sooooo HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Even though we just met. I'll try and review your fic more, but I do have Calculus to do and I have to mow the lawn so it might not happen. And guys. A question. How do you characterize the guys in Coldplay? Are there certain traits that you just mentally assign them or think they have? What do they act like in interviews and such (I don't really watch/read them much--I barely do it for Harry Potter and that's my biggest fandom)? Or are there certain characteristics that everyone seems to give to say Will. For example, in SPN RPF we often see that Sadie and Harley, Jared Padalecki's dogs, basically rule the Padalecki household. Are there things like this? What do you guys do with characterization? How can I write a fic about these men (even one that's completely AU) if I don't know how they act? It'd be like me writing a fic about Wicked after having only heard the cast recording, rather than having seen the musical or read the book. Worse, because the cast recording still shows some of the plot and character. So I have this huge hump and doen't know how to get over it.
  11. I'll try, though it will probably be short and not very plotty because I fail at writing anything of substance.
  12. You're right. Which two would be most likely to be bitter rivals? And I have an issue. If I want to keep their actual ages it looks like Chris would be in a different year from the other guys. Do we just want to change that. And if we keep their real ages the guys (Chris excluded) would be in the same year as Cedric Diggory, Alicia Spinnet, Angelina Johnson and, of course, the Weasley twins. This means I can have canon characters appear in my story. Even Harry, if I felt like it. Perhaps they could be members of the D.A. (or the Inquisitorial Squad, in the case of Guy--although I hope he would be a sensible Slytherin and not get involved). And one more thing. I never noticed this before because I don't really pay attention to their birthdays but OH MY GOD! WILL HAS THE SAME BIRTHDAY AS JKR AND HARRY AND JOEY RICHTER (Ron in A Very Potter Musical). Totally Jealous.
  13. I'll have to go with the official verdict, then. Awesome. And Chris's being a Hufflepuff proves with great finality that we are more than just duffers. Although I wonder how would they become good friends. Maybe N.E.W.T. level Muggle Studies. Because they'd totally be wizards who are all like "These Muggles have really neat instruments. Let's start a band!" So I guess if I want them to meet in Muggle Studies they're all at least Half-bloods. Or maybe three of them are in Muggle studies together and the fourth guy befriends one of them some other way. I'll definitely have to mull this idea over in my head tonight, before I do anything.
  14. Perhaps it'd be best to stick with what I know. I actually have another idea related to something I do know VERY welll. That's Harry Potter. It'd definitely be fun to send the boys to Hogwarts--although if I could get help with the sorting that'd be great. I don't know the personalities of the guys very well (I haven't watched many interviews, plus I just don't know them personally) so it'd be hard to say what house they're in. I do have a habit of sorting people and characters so it'd be fun to sort them, though. What houses do you think the guys would be in? Any Slytherins among their number? Of course I can always just put them in my own house (Hufflepuff) and be done with it. By the way, if you're unfamiliar with the Hogwarts houses, here are the Sorting Hat's songs. And I'm not positive about the name Guy. There's that one French writer, Guy de Maupassant, so it definitely is used there. But I just checked my French Dictionary and gui is apparently mistletoe in French. Who knew? Somehow I doubt French people would name their kid Mistletoe (Unless they're like Chris, in which case they might be all over it. ;)). EDIT: Speaking of Googling stuff, a while ago I found this really neat website. It's in French and it seems to list the names of practically everyone guillotined.
  15. Well if I do end up doing it I'd love some help, perhaps beta reading. Because I know I shouldn't get myself into these things without help. I would probably fail miserably, no matter what I wrote, though.
