I think it's because synths are usually associated with hip-pop and bubblegum pop nowadays--plus it's a drastic change from the 'old' Coldplay, which pretty much consisted of a drumset, bass, guitar, and piano.

I love Cheerios

 Maybe it's the full version of Mylo? :sneaky: Four? I thought it was two! :freak: Well done.

:deal2: See here, Coldplay. You provide us with a ton of amazing songs, make it into three albums, and put them on sale separately but at the same time. You make gobs of money and the fans are quiet for a few years. Win-win. Deal? Aww

 At first I didn't like it as much as DAAHF, but now I like it more :P Even though it's too short :phu:

:freak: That would have to be a triple album at the very least!

I appreciate that he inspired the guys to go in a new direction with Viva (which worked out brilliantly), but I'm gonna have to disagree with you on this one :P

 That's true. Plus the beginning of DAAHF is acoustic-y.

 It just doesn't sit right with me--Coldplay have always been four (or five, counting Phil) guys, together from the beginning, that loved making music together. And then Eno comes along ten years after the fact and gets equal credit? :dozey: It just doesn't seem right

I know  I keep expecting some guitar-ripping during Jonny's solo but it never happens! I know, but it's still funny :P

THIS. It literally had everything (except for an acoustic song--and it even had that if you threw in Prospekt's March).

I love what he did with Viva. I didn't care what he did with MX. So I'm split :P Plus, I don't care for the fact that he's now being credited with composition :uneasy: *hopes*

Is PM even available in a jewel case?  Plus the fact that they've already gone in the 'ambience' direction. They don't like to repeat themselves so I doubt it will happen

Exactly! I try to explain to people why I love it so much, and that's pretty much spot-on. Every song told a story, but it was also part of a bigger novel. Plus, it was just amazing in general :wacky: Hmm. And yes, when they want to, they can rock. :charming:

Random thought: Coldplay should make a studio version of the new GPASUYF :wacky:

Actually, it was the regular Viva album and then I picked up Prospekt's March EP at the same time :P The only copy of Prospekt, I might add :charming:

I think everyone does  Plus they haven't done much of that yet. ARoBttH was the closest they've come, but it was still more indie-rock than pure rock.

Hai Madison! :D  This x13490813086 I've been thinking about this lately also. I hope they go a bit more rock--something like ARoBttH but heavier Songs like Violet Hill and Yes that are dark and rocky combined with some piano songs like Clocks and Trouble EDIT: And maybe drop some of the synth stuff. Please? A little bit is fine to give atmosphere.

Well, not the piano version  I bought Prospekt and Viva at the same time :awesome: Let's see, in order the first Coldplay songs I ever heard / bought: 1. Clocks 2. Viva la Vida 3. Lost! 4. How You See The World (no, I don't know why I decided to buy this one  ) 5. Fix You & Yellow (bought at the same time) 6. Trouble & Speed Of Sound (bought at the same time) 7. Talk 8. One I Love . . . and I think I bought Viva / Prospekt after that I personally don't mind it, but when I try to get my friends to listen to it it becomes a problem :P :phu:
