  1. genius! so energetic as a minor key song! ;)
  2. appreciate the answer. i am not very adept with muical theories either, but i think my question makes sense, so let's wait someone majored in music to answer, i guess. ps:i don't think you can shift a song originally in a major key to a minor key, but let's see what others say:)
  3. A question: don't all keys could be progressively transtioned to each other if the musician is talented enough and allowed enough bars on the sheet?
  4. I don't know if you guys notice that the beginning of Para is wierd. It seems the end of the song before Para(which is hurts like heaven) leads directly and smoothly to Para. I just wonder if this little connection would make Para sounds and feels better than being listened alone. Just like people said, songs are truly better when being listened along within the whole album. especially for an "album" band like coldplay. you gotta remember how Violet Hill's first verse kicks in so awesomely strong when the last chords of Viva La Vida is still ringng. It could be the same thing for Para. (Violet Hill alone is still a better song though)
  5. I been at Lolla too, what a great time. and i bet you would agree that the new songs like HLH, CB and ETIAW are all amazingly amazing live. Can't wait to see them live again when they touring after the new release. But live is one thing and winning awards is another. I am worried grammy panels won't favor their newest change, according to last two years rock winners' style.(arcade fire, mumford & sons and kings of leon. no no, not muse) and I really want them to win a grammy for this album.
  6. i really think Moving to Mars would perfectly fit this job though. but what happens happens, eventually paradise will do i guess.
  7. That's some sense-making thoughts right there. I tried to listen paradise again after read this, unfortunately, still not a good song to me:( Such a good description of Move to Mars, I'd really like that song make the album rather than paradise. good thread man. appreciate your thinking.
  8. gotta quote this one, hope there will be at least one decent surprise in it. just like how X&Y has fix you and swallowed in the sea.
  9. It sounds like OneRepublic teamed up with the latest Linkin Park to me..... I've already listend to it for 10+ times, It grew on me. I liked it already. But the first time I heard it, I was shocked. It's obviously nowhere around Fix You, not even Charlie Brown. All the heavy electronic bass beats+easy melodies+unsophisticated string sessions just remind me of OneRepublic and the new Linkin Park. WHICH, is NOT the league that Coldplay should belong. Come on guys!!! Get us some good shit, don't make me feel uncomfortable the next time I talk about you guys comparing to Arcade Fire. Don't be left behind!PLZ! But anyway you know I'll always win and lose with you guys.
