  1. Would love to get down to one of the Etihad gigs, but I won't know until February whether or not I'll be available...
  2. So. First Coldplay gig, and Hurts Like Heaven leading into Yellow at the start made it worth the ticket price alone! I loved Lost as well, then the fuck up on Major Minus brought back memories of watching Glasto on telly and hearing some MX songs for the first time! In My Place, What If & Daylight were amazing and really stood out for me, if only because they were really unexpected. I loved the setlist idea of sandwiching the older songs amongst two chunks of MX. I was surprised when we reached Til Kingdom Come that we had only had 3 MX songs by that point. Then along came Politik, and the arena exploded! Most people around me had been stood up at various points of the gig so far, myself included, but everyone got up for Politik. Then Viva La Vida kept the energy high. Charlie Brown was, as always, beautiful and I enjoyed singing "Charlie Brown" in time with the guitar as I always do! And the wristbands were beautiful during Charlie Brown as well. Then Paradise, finishing the main set with a bang. Then Clocks, Fix You & finally ETIAW to really top of the whole night! Really great gig from a band I've loved for years. It was so good, that I'm tempted to try and source a ticket to next year's stadium gig at the Etihad!:D
  3. *Sing in the tune of Teddy Bear's Picnic* Today's the day that Coldplay come back to Maaaannccc-land! http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/coldplay/2011/manchester-evening-news-arena-manchester-england-3bd13010.html Sleep now - be excited when I wake up.
  4. 90 Minutes? I payed over 70 quid for my ticket tomorrow night. I paid 200 quid for a ticket to Leeds festival this summer. Let's compare the two shall we? 3x 14 hour days of music compared to 90 minutes for just under half the price. Something seems off there. Although, I am still very excited and look forward to tomorrow xD
  5. I've updated the Setlist.FM page with the songs played according to sg2006, but they are not in any sort of order, nor are they confirmed 100%
  6. Any chance you could reproduce the setlist here? Just make a list of the songs they played so we can see them all in one post? :smug: Thanks
  7. No Fix You?! :shocked2: That is honestly a shock...
  8. CONFETTI! Also - I think I'm going to die of anticipation for tomorrow night now... EDIT: What If Violet Hill Lost Daylight?! Seriously, that sounds like an amazing gig. Hopefully they don't mix up the set too much for tomorrow night!
  9. Sure I will :D First CP Gig! I am ever so excited. And yep, fingers crossed for clasp bracelet. Anywho, so I don't drag this totally off topic - any sign of a set or just a hint of what was played?
  10. Yeah, I want it too even if it won't light up after the event. I'm just going to hope that: 1. I will get one since I'm in seating. 2. It will be a clasp bracelet rather than a festival-style tear off band BTW - I only have 20 quid available to take with me tomorrow (bloody xmas shopping and limited teenage monetary availability) - anyone got merch prices?
  11. Personally I would vote for option D: Drunk and/or stoned! :laugh3:
  12. That stoned fellow should be in Dragon Ball Z! "Arcade FireBall!" :laugh3: Seriously though, that's awesome! Hopefully the wristbands will work independently afterwards! xD Also, they'll hopefully have a clasp rather than being permanent. We aren't allowed bracelets in college but I want to be able to keep and wear that!
  13. I wonder. Since the wristbands were "interactive", can they be switched on and off independent of the venue? Like, once people leave, will they still light up? Or are they tethered to the gig.
  14. Looks like it's over. Hopefully we'll be getting some of that sweet, sweet setlist in the next hour or so. Also, I CANNOT WAIT FOR MY FREE WRISTBAND TOMORROW! :D haha
