Hi all, originally posted this in the wrong section...
I'm amazed at the organisation of this forum, plenty of cool Coldplay information. Ive been playing guitar for 3 years, and its only now that anything remotely musical is coming from my instrument
I saw the coldplay stems for Rockband3 and immediately grabbed them, but I've always wanted to cover God Put a Smile Upon Your Face. The swelling driving sound and cool lyrics are something I want to replicate.
I can sing a little so thats not a problem, and the backing guitar is so simple I'll have that down in a couple of hours. I've got a cool Boss Micro that has great sound quality, so layering isn't an issue either...
BUT...
I can't find a feckin drum backing track anywhere! Its such an integral part of this song that its a no go without it. As far as I can see I have a couple of options...
1. Use some kind of filtering on the original track to try to extract the drums. No idea if this is plausible, I heard it was a few years ago. Anyone know if its possible?
2. Use this drum machine program with my RockBand2 Drumkit and some samples and badly play the drum track myself!

Actually, this is preferrable for a few reasons, mainly that its all me!
3. Someone point the way to sample or supply one of theirs.
Any help is much appreciated. My bad playing can be found by searching for Soundclick user Kroikey.
PS. Looking forward to June in Sunderland UK to see Coldplay for the first time.
