Gwyneth Paltrow And Michael Kors Become Design Partners GWYNETH PALTROW is teaming up with Michael Kors to create a one-off Christmas collection for her website, Goop.com. The range was inspired by the actress's personal wardrobe and her favourite pieces from Kors's collections. "Michael's clothes are gorgeous, staple, American classics that never go out of style," Paltrow said. "I thought it would be wonderful to reinvent some of my favourite vintage Michael Kors looks that I have kept for years, that I wear over and over." The collection will include ready-to-wear, such as capes and peacoats, as well as accessories from Kors's mainline, selected by Paltrow. The actress and designer have known each other for nearly 20 years, and have long been discussing the possibility of a collaboration. Other labels to have teamed up with Paltrow for Goop include Matthew Williamson and Stella McCartney. "I have always been intrigued by the idea of someone who can juggle all the balls in the air and do it with great style, make it look easy, be smart and have a sense of humour," Kors told WWD of Paltrow. "We always said, 'Wouldn't it be great if some time we could do something together, in whatever way.' We started talking about the idea that when you buy something, you often don't know that it's going to turn out to be your favourite piece. Inevitably designers don't make it again and, she said, 'It could drive you crazy.'"

I know coldplaymom does own "It's all good", and due to her encouragement, I do too! It really has some great vinaigrettes and soups. I have a few recipes from My Father's Daughter too, and they are pretty good. These articles are hilarious to me... what prompts someone to buy a Mario Batali book vs a Gwyneth Paltrow book? No one is being forced into buying these books or subscribing to Goop - it's an opt-in. Why badmouth these people for putting a product out there that people can choose to not buy? Also, I think Gwyneth's book sold more than Jessica Alba's based on word of mouth and positive blogs/reviews - not publicity per se. I think she saw a market and went for it. Apparently a lot of people want to look and feel like her,and why not :)

Chef Mario Batali Talks Gwyneth Paltrow's Two-Hour-a-Day Workout Routine Gwyneth Paltrow is serious when it comes to staying in shape. So serious, that the mother of two works out for two hours a day — according to chef and friend Mario Batali. "It's two hours a day of exercise," he told us at the Hellman's event for breaking The Guinness World Record for the longest picnic table in NYC on Tuesday. "She's relentless." Mario says she follows trainer Tracy Anderson closely. "It's a lot of martial arts to me, but it's pretty intense. She's always on it." And it helps that hubby Chris Martin is just as passionate about staying healthy. "They're serious exercise addicts. They both know what they need to eat, and not to just go by some fad diet. They need to eat because the machinery needs it, and they're both performers, so they're very much part of that.” The star herself has confirmed her intense workout schedule, telling Women's Wear Daily in May that she exercises from 10 a.m. to noon after getting the kids to school. Mario also revealed that Gwyneth is a "patient chef" and has cooked in her bikini. "Last summer, we were at her house in East Hampton, and she made paella in a bikini, and didn't get one speck of oil [on her] or get any little burns because she's a patient chef," he told Life & Style. What does her pal Mario think of the haters? "I don't think that many people hate on her. I think her career is kind of a benchmark of excellence and integrity. She's done everything right, and she's lucky. It doesn't always happen that way to a lot of people, even when they do everything right," he said. "She's made mistakes — none that I know of — but I'm sure she has. She's continued to find what a great mom, a great wife and a great friend could be."

But Paltrow said she was "extremely flattered" by the honor. "I'd just turned 40 and I've got two kids and I thought, 'Oh, this is so nice for all the mothers in the world,'" she said. "Thanks for Sharing" opens on Friday.
