  1. First of all, you should really think through before getting a tattoo that size. Secondly, get in a touch with a real artist to sketch all the "things" because I think it definitely lacks depth and style, and with a tattoo that meaningful to you, you got to have a beautiful design (maybe your tattoo artist could sketch something for you). I for one asked one of my friends, who I think is really talented, to sketch a tattoo for me based on a single sentence that means a lot to me. It's from the song The Scientist and I bet it has a meaning for a lot of you guys too. Here's the outcome: « Nobody said it was easy » (please excuse any grammar mistakes, english isn't my native language ;))

I tried it on some friends and they got the "nobody". The "oo" wasn't my idea but I tthoroughly love it because the scientist is my bestfriend's and my favourite song, and he made me discover Coldplay, so there's another message behind that song for me, and this suits perfectly. My friends also got the entire phrase (not all of them but the majority) - after a few seconds (or a few minutes for some of them) - and they're French ^^ I like the idea that the message is kind of hidden : it's a story to tell. People will ask. I have others drafts (about 30, and all kinds of ideas). Here's another one :

Yeah you're right! I did search though, and I found that there were a lot of lone threads about tattoos. Didn't see the « official » one. My bad ;)
  7. Hey! Does anyone have a The Scientist tattoo? I'm getting one in a few weeks. I asked a friend of mine, who's really talented, to draw me a few ones based on the idea I had - a simple idea, a simple phrase. Here's the one I chose... : What do you think?

Because it's much more polite to introduce yourself when you enter someone else's house, even if it's brightly lit and well decorated, here I am! My name is Stéphane, I'm 24 and I live in Cannes, France, a beautiful city in a beautiful region in a beautiful country. It's known for its glamorous film festival but us true "Cannois" know that the city is a lot more than just that fake pretentious cover. Until a few months ago, I only knew very little about Coldplay. Of course I'd heard a few songs through TV show & movies (Don't Panic in Garden State for example) and I underwent the "Viva la Vida" wave on radio, but I never really was interested. And then last may, my bestfriend asked me to go to a concert with him, in Nice. I was really thrilled by the idea - and I still don't know why. Maybe because I saw the band on SNL a few weeks back and really enjoyed their show... But the point is I got into it really fast. I listened to every CD and every song, I learned a lot about Coldplay and I instantly fell in love with it. The show was amazing by the way. Indescribable. I told myself : this is it, this is my favourite band. They're amazing. And here I am. Bonjour !
