  1. I disagree. I would love the idea of an EP - More Coldplay = Happier me. However, if an EP was to be released, I feel it would have been done a long time ago - Viva and Prospekts were released within 5 months of each other, before the boys embarked on their huge summer tour and before LeftRightLeftRightLeft was released. If an EP was to be coming, it would have come in March, enough time to let Mylo Xyloto sink in, but yet still released at the head of their game to allow the excitement to reignite for the Summer tour with a few new songs (I.E Car Kids). If not then, it would be released especially before Live 2012. If an EP was to come as a support for the Comics, then a track of the EP would have been used to promote them, instead of Hurts Like Heaven. The Comics, in my opinion, is to keep some mild interest in Coldplay among us fan boys and girls, and to keep us entertained whilst LP6 is constructed - Looking at a 2014 release, earliest. Say we buy these comics for a year, then in early 2014 a couple of gigs pop up, just as an excuse to build up a little interest. Mid to Late 2014, a new single comes out and then we have an Album late 2014, early 2015. BANG New summer tour kicks off to support LP6 sending us through to mid to late 2016 (Where Coldplay headline Glastonbury for the 4th time). Thats what I think anyway. That said, Car Kids EP could be announced tomorrow morning.
  2. Liverpool One - Odeon! It's the big day!
  3. Mumford, at this point, are too big for the other stage but not big enough to headline - second bill on the pyramid sounds about right. Did anyone else here get tickets?
  4. Ahah no worries - I'm Sam :)
  5. You ever tried sneaking 7 JVC Cameras into a stadium of thousands and thousands of people and getting them to do exactly what you want, when you want it, for the best quality video? Its not a Live DVD, or even a Live Music Video - its a story that needs to be told with actors and it could be cool to have those actors as active members of Coldplaying.com
  6. Its not so much private as it is difficult, to a certain extent - I'm gathering you have a lot of fingers in a lot of pies on here and I could need that! I'll PM you after I chuck on a wash and have a Pot-Noodle (because I am a proper student)
  7. HOLY MOTHER OF! I have just had the most amazing idea! Accept me as a friend, I might need your help!
  8. Ohhhhh it wouldn't be filmed at Glastonbury (I wish), I'd hire out actors and sets and locations and film it in about may? :) Thousands of Coldplaying members - Be awesome for us all to meet up, film this, and then send it for the boys to see as a message ;)
  9. Really? Thank you! its over a year old now, finished it May 2011, got an A* and now I'm studying at university to be a film director :) yes, exactly! If we use this as an example: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxmH4v0DJiQ]Coldplay - Life in Technicolor - YouTube[/ame] The first 20 seconds would be a wide shot of Sunrise (sped up) and a shot from inside a tent, as you see a hand open it at down and see the sun flare go across the shot. From there I am thinking we see, as this person climbs out the tent on a lovely sunny dawn, thousands of others doing the same, wandering around, cooking breakfast, laughing, smiling, having morning cigarettes etc, and then we see the stage being prepared, and time passes to the night, we see people walking to the arena stage, getting their wristbands checked for validity, seeing all the festival offers - waltsers, Ferris wheels, etc etc and then at 1:50, when the final riff kicks in, we see a crowd dancing at a main stage, watching the headline act and drinking and smiling, before going back to the camp site for a midnight smoke, food, and banter around the camp fire as the music fades out. Its a LONG way of pre-production would even begin, but I thought I'd run it by you lot to see what you think :)
  10. I'm full of Christmas spirit.
  11. Shotgun!
  12. Not as much as I should </3 University is awesome, but tough.
  13. So, not many people know me on here yet, I'm still worming my way up, but I am a student film maker from the north of the United Kingdom. A couple of weeks ago, I woke up to Life in Technicolor at the crack of dawn, on the very day I was to be part of the mad rush for Glastonbury tickets. I was successful. Since then, every time I hear LIT all I think of is climbing out a tent at dawn next June 30th, the Sunday and last day of Glastonbury (and my 20th Birthday) to go watch some fantastic bands with some incredible friends. And it got me thinking, although its only short, I reckon I could make a nice little music video out of it set on a camping site, and film it next summer before I go to Glastonbury? For a basic idea, here is an example of my work from before, to give you a feel of the type of productions I go for, if you are interested that is. (if you are, watch in HD!) [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=glvlei86kvQ&feature=plcp]"The Only Exception" Music Video (HD) - YouTube[/ame] So, what do you guys think? Reckon a camp site / music festival is a good visual to match the beautiful noise of LIT? Thank you for your time you fellow fanboys and girls <3
  14. This makes me happy and then some. Kinda of a office party especially for Coldplay fans. I am smiling right now! Besides, I can promise you all I'm not going anywhere so I'm hoping people will get used to seeing my face knocking around, so maybe this will get me out there and known be a few people :D (Charlie Brown came on shuffle as I typed this - totally in sync bro).
  15. Hey :) Thanks, been knocking around for a few months now like, just learning the ropes and what have you - snowed under with university work as well you see :\
  16. Eeee god, thanks everyone :)
  17. I still wake up excited that I have got a ticket for this! Personally, I am thinking The Rolling Stones will be there, since its their first tour since 2005, and that they have NEVER headlined Glastonbury. Also, possibly The Killers? They have a new album out and are touring again - They headlined it last time in 2007, and vowed never to play there again, but you know what bands are like. Mumford and Sons will most likely be there as well with their new album, but as a support head liner - It would be brave for Glasto to place them at the top slot, as much as I love them. Muse have also just had a new album out, but the previously headlined in 2010, so it might be a bit soon for them to return to Glastonbury - perhaps in 2014 when they have finished their new tour, we will see. Florence & The Machine is an interesting rumour I have heard - I love her and missed out on tickets to see her, and it would be amazing to see her in arrive their. She drew and huge audience at her performance at the Other Stage in 2010, and she had a new album out in 2011 and her new tour ends this December, so she would be cleared for the summer. However, as her tour will have ended a whole 6 months before Glasto, she may have faded into the background by that point. Kasabian are another very interesting rumour - although I am not a huge fan, I'm sure they would be amazing live. I don't think they have ever headlined the festival before, but I know they have played there. It makes sense that, at this point, they are due to headline. However, by the time they headline it will be nearly 2 years since the release of their latest album. Too debunk a couple - Stone Roses have confirmed they will NOT be playing Glastonbury, and I just have it in me that Rihanna wont, for some reason. I would like Arcade Fire to play, as I am a big fan of them myself, as I am of The Cribs - I would love to see them hit the Pyramid Stage during the day at some point. I wouldn't say no to The Pigeon Detectives and Linkin Park though. Oh, and never knock a bit of Kids In Glass Houses. The Who played the Olympics to a international audience, and they are hugely popular and successful band, and they haven't played Glastonbury since 2007 - I could totally see them being approached or considered. The Fratellis last played in 2007 as well, very late on in the day on the Pyramid, and they have come back of hiatus, so that would be brilliant as well. Lady Gaga is yet to play at Glasto, and Sunday is a known 'pop night' (more often than not) and she is undeniably huge, so I can see the interest in her as well. Arctic Monkeys, like The Who, played the Olympics and therefore got such a huge recognition as well - I'm not to keen on them personally, but I wont moan if they are there over Gaga. I would keep an watch on Beady Eye as well; yes its Oasis but with no talent, but they are now playing Oasis songs, as - once again - demonstrated by the Olympics, and these days Wonderwall is basically a festival anthem. I'm not sure they would headline the Pyramid, maybe the other stage like. Moreover than anything, I am predicted The Rolling Stones, The Who and Mumford and Sons to be very, very likely contenders. Muse is just as likely as Florence, but I fancy the chances of The Killers - even with their 'vow'. I just wish Coldplay were there <3
  18. It would be interesting to see why you hate me, given we have never spoke ;)
  19. That's incredible, thank you! I'm ready and waiting :)
  20. What, to the secret Santa!? That would be amazing! What do I do? :D
  21. Rocking Sweeney Todd for the evening!
  22. Liverpool or Manchester anyone?
  23. I'm 19, so I can still get involved with this! Each to your own, but I prefer Hayley Williams over One Direction ;)
  24. When i got with my ex, I (jokingly) asked her on our first date what she thought of Twilight, and she said she hated it (which is the correct answer). And then I asked her what she thought of Casualty (the BBC Soap Opera) and she said it was 'Alright' which is good enough (I'm a big fan) and then I went "Finally, what is your opinion on Coldplay?" and she said "Oh my god I absolutely love Coldplay!" Why we ever broke up I don't know.
  25. I'm Sam - Not Samuel, or Samson, just Sam :D
