i don't think that he really _hated_ his dad.. it was something like love/hate.. he hated that his father never cared about him, when he really needed it.. but his father was so young when jeff was born, i think he was just not ready to be a father.. maybe Jeff understood that finally, and tried to forgive him.. which was not easy and Jeff's first success was when he played in a tribute concert for his father..

Late Night Tales is not a cover album. it's a compilation of songs by other artists, which were chosen by the Flaming Lips. They may be their favourite songs, or the songs that fit the idea of "late night tales" Other artists do such compilations, too. I have Late Night Tales by Turin Brakes, love it.

yeah. but we got used to it. in Yakutia (it's in Eastern Siberia) it can be -50. i can't imagine how people live here :stunned:

i've just written about it to athy -- in russian lol yeah, it's rather cold: -25 now but this winter is rather mild -- usually its -40 :stunned: somebody told me that russian accent sounds like a person is speaking with his mouth full of cheese :lol:

Ivona, aber die Grammatik ist vielleicht die wichtigste und die schwerste Sache in jeder Sprache, nicht wahr? die andere Aspekte sind natuerlich leichter. Zum Beispiel der Wortschatz ist in fast allen europaeischen Sprachen sehr aehnlich (omg, i hope i haven't done too many mistakes ;) )

ich finde Deutsch nicht so leicht, besonders die Grammatik.. Die Deklination der Adjektive ist schrecklich :confused:

athy, да, у нас довольно холодно, -25 сейчас (хотя это нормально, бывает и -40!)(cold place ;)) сейчас все боятся ехать к нам, я бы и сама побоялась, честно говоря, ехать в Москву, после всех этих террактов.. ты, наверное, знаешь. но я тебя прекрасно понимаю -- на родину всегда тянет! на этот сайт я захожу почитать новости -- у меня есть свой сайт о Coldplay. так что заходи в гости -- coldplace.by.ru (i guess it must be rather annoying for the rest of people to look at these "hieroglyphs".. but so is the thread :P)
