i was sitting in bucket loads of the stuff a couple of summers ago - and don't think I picked up any... :o

Wouldn't that only work at bigger gigs where there is a big expanse of people. The audience is fairly fragmented in the RAH. Could anything match the *best use of the audience ever* at a certain venue in the summer of 2012, mind? Now, *that* was an insane show...

But it's a complex structure, with the acoustic mushrooms hanging. Of course, if you did some very clever mapping, you could project onto the mushrooms, but I doubt the effort would be warranted for this event. This, from before McCartney's Teenage Cancer Trust gig 2 years ago is about as good as you can get - great for pre-show effects, but hardly Coldplay quality HD video...

No, you'd ruin the acoustics if you had screens in the ceiling. The roof is great for atmospheric lighting, mind. I guess there's still the space in front of the organ for screens - I just checked out this photo from years back when my son sang as part of a schools event and the stage was packed out. View from the Circle, BTW - the conductor is right in the centre of where I'm expecting the stage to be - a good enough view for everyone? Mind you, wouldn't it be great if Chris used the opportunity of the venue to play Fix You on the organ, like Matt Bellamy did when Muse played there: And Madness did it too: I guess lasers will be from around the organ. Putting them around the stage probably wouldn't give them enough length to punch through.

I see more tickets have been out and about... Interesting - hadn't spotted "Stage seats" in the listing before - were they always there? Guess, with the show being in the round, it's an opportunity to put people on what would normally be the stage. Had thought that it'd be a bit odd having all that empty space at the back! Makes you wonder where the screens & lasers will be, mind...

Give the Albert Hall a call. They'll normally reprint tickets for you on the night if you don't have them with you - as long as you've got ID and the card you used to pay. As it's a G&T/See only gig, that might not apply, but they may be able to put your mind at rest.

Do we even care? There's a roof! Actually, colder weather is best for a RAH gig - especially if there's no queueing involved, as it can get mighty warm inside.

And the magic ticket fairy did strike, as I was able to buy a second single stalls ticket later on. Turns out they're only 5 seats from each other - spooky! I appear to have become popular dad tonight for some reason...

Hmm, you've got me there.... Initially I was going to say yes, but now I'm not so sure. But it really shouldn't be a problem. Definitely fine in the second row. It would be the back row I'd be less sure about - but only if everyone was sitting, which I somehow doubt. If you all want to stand, then there's nothing stopping you all from agreeing to shift the chairs out of the way - I've done that before!

3 rows of 4 *moveable* chairs - should be ok! Sometimes, with a little discussion, your box party may agree to move around so that people who'd prefer to sit go to the front, and then the standers behind them. Maybe even moving the chairs out of the way to party more.

Nowhere is far away from anywhere else in this place. Your boxes are all of 15 seconds walk from each other!

And here's a similar one I did last Autumn, but with people (hope it works - Google+ isn't really my thing)

Quite possibly, but guestlist on gigs like this can be pretty popular with all the liggers. I did ask at the box office last week if the venue would be selling any tickets, and they confirmed that it was G&T/See doing 100% of the ticketing. Hence today's tickets still being on the H&T/See roster. On the day, it could be the venue that clears the last few, but they were adamant... Then again, weren't G&T insisting the other day that there would be no more tickets available...

Not a whole bunch, but a fairly small batch by the looks of it. Looks like a short run of row 10 in block J/K stalls. Plus some box seats. The good news is that they're fantastic seats! I suspect they've been released from a guestlist allocation. Makes me much less disappointed to have had some in my basket the other week and then get blown out as the site crashed.

If it excites you any more, this was my view of the stage on Friday from row 7 of the stalls (there are only 11 rows). I think there will be some seats in the Arena for this gig but, if it's in the round, just think of the boys playing in the middle of that space...

Firstly, it's a lovely place. I was there last Friday for Romeo & Juliet, ballet in the round - simply exquisite. And the staff are lovely too - it's one of the rare venues where you'll be treated like a human being. In the picture below, the Albert Memorial across the road is opposite Door 6, where the merch is normally sold. Not sure when that opens (I don't tend to buy merch), but I think this gig is 6:30pm doors, right, which is probably when merch opens. Ticket collection will presumably be at the Box Office, which is at the opposite end, Door 12. If you're walking from South Kensington station, you'll arrive at approx the Door 1 area, but it never takes long to walk around the venue. We're all in for a treat...

It happens too often - especially at the Albert Hall. These last minute surprise tickets have got me to: * Muse at Shepherds Bush Empire * The middle of the front row for Kaiser Chiefs - bought on the morning of the gig! * Robbie Williams at The Roundhouse * The Who at IndigO2 Great things do sometimes come to the patient... :-)

Hi, Hope against hope, finally picked up a *single* ticket today. My daughter's on a promise for her bucket list, with me stupidly having not taken her to Under 1 Roof - any other single spare still available? (originally wrongly posted against 1 Jul - that'd have been awkward!) Alec
