Manic Street Preachers
I had my God Save The Manics EP from the London gig, it's ace. Firefight has grown on me and Secret Society is really good. The EP is a different sound from Lifeblood - more EMG era.

Manic Street Preachers
Yeah, good song that. They're all good in their own way, Archives of Pain has a really, cool dark opening and when the guitar kicks in after a minute or so it's great.

Manic Street Preachers
*appreciates*, haven't heard many better albums than The Holy Bible, if any. It's a vile record, but I mean that in a good way ;) When you go through the Manics' full career and pick out their best songs, there aren't loads of bands who can hold up that well. Motorcycle Emptiness Little baby nothing You love us La Tristesse Life becoming a landslide Faster Die in the summertime This is Yesterday Yes Design for Life If you Tolerate this 1985

Your biggest 'album surprise' of 2004....
Lifeblood - Manic Street Preachers. I don't know what I was expecting, but first time I put it on I didn't like it. I'd now say it's better than their last two albums and the poor sales of the album don't justify how good it is. They made the mistake of releasing The love of Richard Nixon as the first single so that contributed to the poor reception, as well as the NME and Q magazine not giving it good reviews. How dare 35 year old men act their age and mellow out  There are a few fillers but songs like "1985", "Empty Souls", "To repel ghosts" and "song for departure" are all great. Uh other than that, I quite like U2's latest offering, although I was a little disapointed and Bono's voice isn't what it used to be.

God, let's just hope they choose a better name than Apple this time. Anything but Orange, please.
