Yeah I think the studio version will be amazing. You can tell they struggled with it live in the same way they struggled - or rather Chris did - with getting vocals right when they first started playing the sing VLV live.

I can't get Magic lyrics out of my head today.

I disagree from the perspective that it tells a story we can all relate to. The narrative off the top - late night tv- body- we've all done that- sets the stage and draws you in.
  4. It did feel like Will was holding back. I kept waiting for a snare beat.

Well...it's no "and the bullets catch in her teeth." ;)
  6. Good topic. Was thinking same. As much as I like the 4 songs we've heard I'd like a couple of rockers. My thought was that they would put those on the bonus CD being released.

Just listened to this song for the third time today. Johnny's guitar playing past 2 albums- so simple - so strait forward- and yet so good. And the piano! For me- this has the makings of a Coldplay classic.

    Midnight did sound good live.
  9. Totally agree. I didn't think it worked as an opener tho I know they wanted to put a new one out there first.

It's a subtle song. I really like the melody but vocals were a bit off pitch at times. I just took it as band rusty live and cranking it back up. I actually thought they looked not sad at all but focused, energized and really locked in. And amused as hell when those streamers came down - like - this may not work as well as the butterflies...
  11. First post on this forum... God, one only hopes on ditching the clothes. Thought same.
