ok so yesterday our bus trip outta Kathmandu was stopped 'cos of fear of maoist activity on the highway, an today i was reading the newspaper and on the route we were gonna take the army found all of these bombs, and then further up the highway ppl were forced outta their vehicles and the maoists torched their freakin cars for defying their bundha (strike)!!!!!!!!!!

yeah, i'm doing vollunteer work in some orphanages. it's been really amazing, and the kids are absolutely beautiful, i guess it's just that it's christmas and i feel like i should be home comforting my mum (my step father died on x-mas eve 2 years ago), not stuck in some really shite hotel room that doesn't even have hot water with no one to celebrate with

It's not that dangerous for tourists.

There is still some amazing things to do, places to see, and so.

And of course, its really nice what you are doing. :)

What you're doing for those kids is very sweet, but ... why you don't get out of there as quick as you can?? It's pretty dangerous to be there you are a tourist an they only care about some Budist an you are not aren't you?

it's all good now! we got to fly into Pokhara instead of bus, but then we got a bus back 2day and it took about 9 and a 1/2 hrs cos of all the army checkpoints.

 

of course, nepal is in the middle of a civil war, but i think its the most beautiful country ever (exept for those mongrels who won't stop try to sell me hash (heyyyyy, pretty ladee, hasish, hashish?....))

 

mahaha!

 

but i love it here! it really is an awesome country and i guess i was having a shit day cos it was s close to x-mas, but hey, i hope everyone had an awesome x-mas and new year! (i know i did!)
