Emelie
Hi. I'm sorry if there's a thread about this already.. But I'm just wondering if there are any piano or keyboard players out there who could help me.. I can read music and play like the melodies of songs and I can play with two hands like for example Für Elise.. But what I don't understand is how you play the chords.. like C Am G etc.. You don't just hold them down do you? because that's sounds dull.. So if anyone knows and which to help a poor soul.. please :)
Luigio
Actually I was wondering that too. But if you know how to play all of the cool stuff, why don't you know what chords are?
Emelie
I don't know.. I've never been taught how to.. Learning to play like fur elise was simple because it was just two lines of notes.. But when they start writing letters like that I know how to hold some of them but I just don't know how to play them out if you know what I mean.. my_star_is_fading
While playing the chord just kind of move your fingers around, like your playing an arpegio of that chord. Kust experiment with different ways of playing.
