E-Bow Question

Do E-bows work more or less equally well with all guitars? I am considering getting one to experiment with, but my guitar is a hollowbody (Epiphone Casino) and I've heard some say e-bows don't really work with this type of guitar. I really don't want to lay out the cash for one if it is just going to sound s#$%&y with my guitar...

I could not really see how it would make a difference either (except as you say due to the natural tone of the guitar), but I've heard a few people say things...

Since I know next to nothing about E-bows, just thought I'd see if anyone has more experience than me;)

It won't make any significant difference. The EBow simply creates a force field around the magnet, so any magnetic pickup will work just fine. As for hollowbodies + EBow, the only person I can think of is Ed O'Brien (Radiohead) who plays an ES-335 sometimes (extensively on In Rainbows,) and it sounds just fine. It's a great investment; and I have yet to run out of sounds to create. Definitely worth the $100.

I used it on an Casino (Gibson Casino?) remake and i didn't really find much difference. But if you're thinking of getting an ebow, i really recommend it, you can do some lovely things with it, take a bit of practice though, not always the most fun thing to do, especially when you just wanna play all the parts where jonny uses it.
