Coldplay tour in doubt as Martin injures knee

15/06/2008 - 3:14:43 PM

Chris Martin has thrown Coldplay's comeback concert into jeopardy after twisting his knee during tour rehearsals.

The frontman was left hobbling in pain after injuring his leg in practice sessions for the band's eagerly anticipated first performance in London tomorrow.

It is feared the injury will further postpone the group's forthcoming world tour, which has already been pushed back due to unspecified "production delays".

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Chris has been in absolute agony with his knee.

"He's had to strap it and has been hobbling around the place. He doesn't want to cancel the show so is going to fight through the pain barrier."

Earlier this month, it was announced the rockers' North American trek would be delayed by two weeks.

The tour was scheduled to kick off on June 29, but will now start in Los Angeles on July 14.

If they have to postpone it again this is going to blow big time

Chris has said twice now that this is NOT TRUE, NO INJURY!
