i really like coldplay, but i've been out of the loop since rush of blood to the head, so i was wondering about a couple things.

1) does chris's attire mean anyhting? he's usually seen in the black jacket with colored sleeves and lately his white shirt underneath it has had a V on it. what does all of that symbolize?

2) was there a reason for releasing prospekts march so soon after viva la vida? was it cherity or just a follow up?

1) The clothes they wear are based on the uniforms of the French Revolution, which is the cover of Viva La Vida (painting of Eugene Delacroix)

2) Prospekts March contains songs that were not ready when VLV was released, but the boys wanted to release these as well, in the same theme as VLV and not on a new album. That's why they made the ep.
