I 1st seen the guys play at Glastonbury 2005 they were out of this world

 

I would love to see them there again,

 

I will of course be down on the farm this year,

2 of the headliners are british, 2 of the headliners are American.

 

Blur, Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen are strongly rumoured to be 3 of the 4, that just leaves a Coldplay/Radiohead sized hole as the 4th headliners, co-heading Saturday night with Neil Young.

 

What I love about Glastonbury is that it has sold out, without many band confirmed to play (compared to T-in-the-Mud, which is shouting out "we have this band and that band" in an attempt to get people to buy tickets).

 

But back on topic, only time will tell, will it be Coldplay, will it be Radiohead, or will it be someone else?

A possibility? I think they will be there

Springsteen tops Glastonbury bill

 

Bruce Springsteen will headline this year's Glastonbury Festival, topping the bill on the show's Saturday night.

 

The dependable US rocker, who has just released his 24th album, will play in the slot that was filled by rapper Jay-Z last year.

 

"He's one of the all-time rock legends and I'm confident that this will be one of our best shows ever," festival founder Michael Eavis said.

 

Neil Young and Blur are rumoured to be headlining the other two days.

 

Springsteen's visit will follow last year's heated debate over the event's first hip-hop headliner.

 

But Jay-Z's performance, as well as the choice of Kings of Leon to headline the Friday night, was seen as a triumph for the festival.

 

Springsteen and Jay-Z are musically poles apart, and The Boss - with anthems like Born To Run and Born In The USA - is likely to be seen as a safer bet.

 

But both represent a break from the previous Glastonbury policy of looking to huge indie bands, such as The Killers, Coldplay, Oasis and Radiohead, who have taken the main headlining slot in recent years.

 

Co-organiser Emily Eavis said: "I'm knocked out that we've managed to get Bruce to play. It's the icing on the cake of this year's bill, which I'm sure will take everyone's breath away when we announce the full details."

 

Franz Ferdinand will also perform at Glastonbury on Saturday 27 June. Tickets for the event have sold out, with a "very limited" number of cancelled tickets going on sale on 5 April.

 

The Glastonbury show will come during Springsteen's world tour, and he will also play the Hard Rock Calling event in London on Sunday 28 June.

 

• Leicester's Summer Sundae festival will be headlined by The Streets, Bon Iver, The Zutons and The Charlatans, organisers have announced. This year's event will take place from 14-16 August at the city's De Montford Hall.

 

Meanwhile, Red List Live, which takes place at Port Lympne Wild Animal Park in Kent from 19-21 June, has announced The Wombats as its headliners, while British Sea Power have also been added to its bill.
